A Research On Primary School Principal Leadership Of A District Yinchuan City

The society is developing rapidly today,which urges new requirement for human beings,and also brings new challenge and great opportunity for education.Education is an important way to raise national and individual competition.As the elementary stage of compulsory education,primary school education is quite significant.So the reform of compulsory education and primary school is a must.Principal is the key figure of primary school,he or she should hold the quality of great leadership.This dissertation first probes into the theory of principal leadership thoroughly,defines leadership and principal leadership and their characteristics.It adopts the theory of Cheng Y.C.' s five dimensions module,they are educational,symbolic,structural,human and political leadership,then take 26 principals of A District Yinchuan as example to find out the status quo of the principals leadership by survey,interview,case study.In this way,the author reveal the problems and causes existed.Finally,the author put forward strategies for promoting principal leadership to develop primary school reform.
