Internet dependence is a developing process,which may start from overuse and eventually develop into unsuitable addictive behavior.Therefore,preventive interventions for internet dependent groups are necessary.Today,the intervention methods adopted by most researchers are generally cognitive therapy and family therapy,yet they have not reached a general consensus on effective psychological intervention methods for adolescents with internet addiction,and there is no empirical research on the effect of painting therapy on internet dependence.In order to enrich the research on internet addiction of college students,this study conducts a questionnaire survey of the "Chen's Internet Addiction Scale" and "Checklist Risk of Internet Addiction" on 600 college students in a university,and accordingly an intervention scheme based on the WISER model was designed.Simultaneously,this study adopts internet addiction research scholar Wang Zhihong' s five major categories of primary prevention of internet addiction and the network detox venation as the prevention and control framework of college students' internet addiction,and it is based on interview results.This study use painting group counseling to control their Internet use behavior.Wang Zhihong and Chan H.Lproposed that intervention of risk factors for internet addiction is the key to treating internet addiction.Therefore,the biggest innovation of this study is to use painting group counseling as an intervention method to reduce college student's network dependence behavior by interveing the risk factors for network addiction,such as social anxiety,depression,boredom,low self-esteem and academic pressure.After more than 6 months of research,the study reached the following conclusions:1.Results of the investigation studies(1)The detection rate of internet addiction among college students is about 8.8%,which means that some college students have serious internet addiction,which need to beimproved by intervention;(2)There are obvious changes in the painting works of college students beforeand after the treatment of painting,especially the changes ofsocial anxiety,nervousness,depression and hostility;(3)There was significant difference between the experimental group and thecontrol group before and after the test results,the experimental group and the controlgroup after the test results were significantly different;2.Conclusions from intervention studies(1)Painting group counseling has a significant effect on alleviating the symptoms of internet dependence among college students;(2)Painting group counseling has a significant effect on the intervention of the Internet addiction risk factors among college students,including social anxiety,depression,boredom,low self-esteem,academic pressure,hostility and impulse control,etc.
