The aim of this study was to explore an effective scheme to enhance the Yang zhou University College students’ self consistency and congruence level on the basis of the inner child therapy’s theory summarize, So as to promote the students’self consistency and congruence and mental health. At first, this article analyzed the theory history of college students’ self consistency and congruence situation inland, it showed the self consistency and congruence’s important effect and facilitating possibility in mental health; then based on the theory of Inner Child’s therapy, the author designed a group tutor project and using it to conduct a two-month intervention activities on the experimental group, and assessed it with scale and subjective in the end, provide demonstration and practical experience in promoting college students’ self consistency and congruence.Study results:1.From the quantitative results of group counseling, inner child therapy group counseling on the promotion of College Students’ self consistency and congruence has a notable effect (p=0.006<0.05). The self and experience of harmonious, ego stereotype and flexibility have a certain effect. Specifically, self and experience of harmonious dimensionality of the immediate effect of guidance is notable (p=0.011<0.05). Although self flexibility and self stereotyped have not reached the significant changes (p=0.051>0.05; p=0.080>0.05), the effect of their improving has nearly reached the significant changes.2.From the qualitative data of group counseling, inner child therapy group counseling has played the following roles on college students:they are easier to observe and understand their own body feeling and emotional reactions, and make the corresponding adjustment; they can more easily go back to their inherence, be more self responsible, self care, and love themselves more; their rebound behaviors decreased, tolerance and understanding abilitycan be enhanced, they can better deal with the relationships of classmates, friends, families, which is that the interpersonal relationships become more harmonious.3.The factors which promote the inner child therapy group counseling play the following effective roles:Consistent with the group design and open atmosphere of warmth of the inner child therapy; Group dynamic factors; Objects homogeneity factors.
