The role of entrepreneurship has increased in developing as well as developed countries,as more and more people are attracted towards the creation of new ventures.In Pakistan,this concept is relatively newer but it is increasing with every passing day.The financial education and literacy also has a great importance in entrepreneurship and new venture creation.Gender diversity is also a significant social aspect and has great importance in the male dominant society of Pakistan.The aim of this research is to find the impact of gender diversity and financial education program on social entrepreneurial intention.Also,this study aims at finding the mediating role of specific absorptive capacity between financial education program and social entrepreneurial intention.The study has been conducted through quantitative methods with the application of positivism philosophy,deductive approach,and descriptive nature and cross sectional time horizon.In addition,the data were collected from the students of universities and colleges of Pakistan especially undergraduates and postgraduates of Pakistan,sample size was 285 and the sample was chosen through purposive sampling.In the study,out of total 285 respondents 135 were male students of universities and colleges while other 150 were females.The results of the study indicate acceptance of all the hypotheses of the study.In Pakistan,there is significant impact of the gender diversity on the social entrepreneurial intention.Also,financial education program has significant relationship with social entrepreneurial intention in the context of Pakistan.Furthermore,the specific absorptive capacity significantly mediates the relationship between financial education program and social entrepreneurial intention.The study is limited only to the educational sector of Pakistan but future researchers must collect data from organizations as well in order to have accurate information.
