Guideline To The Learning And Development Of Children Aged 3~6 calls for improving child's mental and physical well-being and comprehensive development,which naturally makes the topic--child's moral education the lasting subject.However,after investigating the present situation,some common problems are discovered:teachers' attitude toward child's moral education is important but not necessary;the target of moral education is teaching existing moral customs;its content digresses from the subject;the approach lacks tracking the change of child's morality and behavior.In the light of problems above,the author tries to combine story and moral education to deepen and optimize present moral education situation and try out this new type of education.Therefore,the author believes:its attitude should rely on respecting children;its target should be turning to cultivating child's moral emotions and positive thinking;its content should be close to child's life and change properly in accordance with the development of child and times;it should attach importance to recessive environment education and carry out the idea that moral education infiltrates in child's daily life;it should value process evaluation and put theme activities on primary position.Designed to change the present situation where teachers mostly lecture and impose moral values on children,the approach focuses on child's feelings and responses in order to carry out generative curriculum practice which mainly includes theme activities.The selection of stories and the adequacy of being combined with moral education is paid attention to,in addition,this approach digs out the potential value of stories in the process of teaching.What's more,it helps kids gain respect and build up positive values.It also refers to good qualities in stories so that kids can easily know kindness,accept kindness and give out kindness,which makes the new approach to moral education more effective and appropriate and fully display the value of moral education.The concept of child-centered is proposed,hoping to advance the practice of kid's moral education.Picking the new approach to moral education as a starting point,the author analyzes the present situation and problems of kid's moral education and puts forward advance the moral education by using story-based approach.This approach is thought to influence child,connect kid's life with moral education,guide kids to tell story personally,help kids to understand and internalize the content of stories and finally help kids transfer good qualities they learn to reality.According to child's present stage features of physical and cognitive development,moral cognition and needs,studying features and needs of stories and ages,the author discusses the feasibility,necessity and effective measures of applying story-based approach in moral education.Moreover,the author summarizes abundant experience in front-line teaching practice,concludes the standard of selecting stories,lists excellent cases,analyzes the availability of story-based approach in moral education by observing behaviors,comes up with effective strategies in moral education cases and explore the key points of new moral education.
