Lv Simian is a well-known Chinese historian in modern times.He has a great reputation in the field of history.The academic circles have paid less attention to his thinking and exploration in the field of education.In fact,Lv Simian is devoted to both academic work and education.He not only has a unique thinking on education reform,but also carries out the practice physically.Since the late Qing Dynasty,the historical mission of saving the nation from extinction and the historical process of western learning to the east are the background of the generation of Lv Simian's educational thought.Lv Simian's personal life experience and ideological track are indispensable factors for the formation of his educational thought.The beginning of Lv Simian's educational thought originated from his keen attention to the reality of Chinese society.At that time,China was in the period of transformation from traditional agricultural civilization to modern industrial civilization.Lv Simian believed that the change of education was related to the prosperity and decline of the country,and regarded education as the fundamental plan for establishing the country.On the whole,Lv Simian's educational thoughts are aimed at cultivating modern citizens,and take the salvation of the national crisis as the starting point.He hopes to promote social reform through the improvement of people's personal knowledge.The essence is the inheritance of modern educational thought of saving the country,and also an important presentation of calling for reshaping the people's spirit since the late Qing Dynasty.Lv simian's educational thought system is roughly divided into two aspects: social education and school education.The starting point of his social education thought is to believe that education can improve people's intelligence and inspire people's consciousness of patriotism and love forthe nation.Therefore,he proposed that the goal of social education is to cultivate modern citizens,and to implement the society education through modern facilities and institutions such as newspapers,books,schools and libraries,to provide popularization and popular education to the people,emancipate the mind,and implement reforms.In addition to social education,Lv Simian also pays close attention to the reform of school education,and the student group is the hope of the future of the society.In terms of school education,Lv Simian explored school education from three aspects: education examination system,school setting and students' development.Lv Simian proposed that the right of education examination should be returned to the country,and the academic level of students should be strictly controlled by the national examination assessment,the appointment of principals and teachers through the selection of examinations by the Ministry of Education,and the education examination system should be strictly controlled.Reforming the examination system for education and promoting equity in education requires the development of private schools and the importance of school location environment in the establishment of schools.Regarding the future of students,he suggested that students should attach importance to academics after entering school and entering the society,abandon the idea of profit,and work hard to make the best use of them.Lv Simian has been teaching for nearly 50 years.As a professional teacher,he has rich educational experience in elementary schools,middle schools,and universities.He is enthusiastic about education and has rich childhood,and gradually grew into a modern intellectual under the influence of changing times,the influence of his parents and teachers,and his own efforts.Therefore,Lv Simian has a strong sense of social responsibility.He has always been concerned about the development of the country and society.He has considered and addressed the social issues from the perspective of education and hoped to promote social progress.At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,Chinese traditional culture still played an important role in restricting the transformation of modern education.Lv Simian analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of traditional education and modern education,put forward his own idea of education reform,that is,the new and old harmonious reform concept,and formed his own unique education ideological system.Today's Chinese people live under the knowledge system and code of conduct for a hundred years.Lv Simian's calm and objective examination
