The Impact Of Perceived Social Support On The Employability Of Higher Vocational Students

Employment is the foundation of people's livelihood.The students of higher v ocational colleges in China occupy half of the high school students.Their employ ment has become a key issue of concern to the party and the country.Although t he overall employment status of higher vocational students is good,there are still problems such as incomplete job market,low employment quality and satisfactio n.Therefore,improving the employability of higher vocational students is an urgent problem.In order to explore the dynamic factors(perceived social support)and the rel ationship between psychological state(psychological capital)and employability in t he process of cultivating employability for vocational students,in this study,432 higher vocational students were measured using the Understanding Social Support,Psychological Capital,and Employability Questionnaires,and the results were ana lyzed using AMOS 20.0 and SPSS 22.0.In terms of data analysis,first of all,us e differential analysis to study the social support,psychological capital and emplo yability of higher vocational students' differences in demographic characteristics su ch as gender,profession,grade,nationality,whether or not they are the only child,parents' education level,total monthly family income,cumulative length of intern ship,etc.Secondly,after controlling demographic variables,use the structural equa tion model to further explore the impact of comprehension social support and psy chological capital on employability.Concluded as follow:一、The perceived social support,psychological capital and employability of s tudents in higher vocational colleges are generally at the upper-middle level.二、Demographic variables have a certain effect on the perceived social supp ort,psychological capital and employability of higher vocational students.Among t hem,in terms of perceived social support,there are significant differences in vari ables such as grade,nationality,parental education,and total monthly family inco me;In terms of psychological capital,in grades,nationality,whether they are only children,mothers'education,and monthly family income,there are significant dif ferences in variables;In terms of employability,there are significant differences in grade and nationality variables.三、There is a significant positive correlation between higher vocational stude nts' perceived social support,psychological capital and employability.四、The perceived social support and psychological capital of higher vocation al students have significant positive predictive effects on employability.五、The psychological capital of higher vocational students plays a part of th e mediating role between perceived social support and employability.The mediatin g effect accounts for 83%of the total utility.Therefore,it is very necessary to carry out the related education of higher vo cational students' psychological capital and promote their perceived social support level to enhance their employability.
