It is the core idea of the new chemical curriculum reform to develop the core quality of each student.5E Instructional Model,as a kind of "student-oriented" inquiry teaching model,its teaching concept is highly compatible with the "quality-based" classroom teaching concept advocated in the new curriculum reform of chemistry in China.Therefore,based on the 5E Instructional Model,this paper explores the effective teaching mode of developing students' chemistry core competences.On the basis of combing the relationship between 5E Instructional Model and the suggestions for the implementation of the curriculum in the new curriculum standard of chemistry in our country,this study selects different teaching contents according to the characteristics of 5E Instructional Model for teaching design,and takes class(13)and class(14)of senior one of a middle school in Wenzhou as the research object for comparative teaching.After the teaching practice,combined with the evaluation index system of chemistry discipline core competences,thequestionnaire and test paper are selected and evaluated from three aspects:correct values,necessary character and subject ability.Finally,the research results are summarized and reflected.The results show that carrying out chemistry classroom teaching based on 5E Instructional Model is conducive to improving students' interest in learning chemistry and their sense of classroom participation,at the same time,the students in the experimental class have different degrees of improvement compared with the students in the control class in terms of correct values,necessary character and subject ability.In terms of correct values,the students in the experimental class have developed the concept of evidence and the concept of seeking truth;in terms of essential character,the students in the experimental class have developed the four sub elements(questioning spirit,innovation spirit,etc.);in terms of subject ability,the students in the experimental class have significantly improved their description,representation,theoretical proof,simple design,etc.Therefore,the 5E Instructional Model has a positive role in promoting the development of students' chemistry discipline core competencesHowever,there are still some shortcomings in the practice research,such as the few samples of practice objects,the short period of practice,and the imperfect evaluation system.Therefore,the significant effect of5 E Instructional Model on the development of students' chemistry corecompetences needs to be further studied in the later stage.
