The "5E" instructional model originates from the Atkin&Karplus learning cycle of BSCS in the United States,and is divided into five parts,namely,engagement,exploration,explanation,Elaborate and Evaluate.Since the English expression of each part starts with the English lettere,it is simply called the "5E" instructional model.The "5E" instructional model in each stage and the requirements of each stage are highly consistent with the concept of the new curriculum reform,aiming at cultivating students'inquiry thinking and combining theory with practice.This paper is a practical teaching research based on the application of"5E" instructional model in high school chemistry class.In this study,two parallel classes in Tongliao Ganqika No.1 Senior High School were selected as the research objects.One adopted the "5E" instructional model and the other adopted the traditional instructional model.Through the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview,teaching experiment and comparative analysis,teaching cases were presented based on the "5E" instructional model.Before the teaching design based on the"5E" instructional model is carried out,teachers are first asked to carry out a questionnaire survey to determine the teaching content suitable for the "5E" instructional model.Then,the Micosoft Excel 2010 software is used to analyze the questionnaire and the test of students learning results in terms of chemical knowledge,ability and attitude,so as to analyze the teaching effect of the "5E" instructional model.Through the interviews with teachers,the problems encountered in the application of the "5E"instructionalmodel are summarized and targeted teaching suggestions are given.The research results show that:(1)the results of the first chemical quality inspection test of the two classes are tested by z,and Z=0.21,which shows that there is no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group,that is,there is no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group before the"5E" instructional model is applied.The Z test of the results of the second chemical quality inspection test showed that Z=1.38,showing no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.Although there is no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group,the average score of students in the experimental group is higher than that in the control group.The Z test of the results of the third chemical quality inspection examination showed that Z=2.38,which showed that there was significant difference between the experimental group and the control group,and showed that there was significant difference in the chemical learning results between the experimental group and the control group after the "5E" instructional model was applied.This shows that "5E" instructional model has a certain positive effect on the improvement of students' academic performance.(2)The results of the questionnaire survey on the students in the experimental group show that the "5E" instructional model has positive effects on the improvement of students' knowledge,ability and learning attitude.To sum up,the application of "5E" instructional model in chemistry teaching of senior one has a positive impact on the improvement of students ' performance,ability and learning attitude.
