Research On Peer Group Counseling Based On The Needs Of College Students' Mental Health Services

On October 18,2017,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in the report of the 19 th National Congress that "The Social Psychology Service System should be strengthened to cultivate a self-respecting self-confidence,a rational and peaceful,and a positive social mentality." This study is guided by the principles and policies of the Party and the state,taking the mental health service needs of college students as the starting point,based on the high-efficiency advantages of peer group guidance in the mental health work of colleges and universities,exploring the specific content of students’ demand for mental health services,using unstructured group form conducts group counseling for college students,and adjusts the technology according to the needs of the students in the group to help students solve their problems,thus achieving the satisfaction of students.This paper is divided into two studies.Research 1 explores the needs of college students’ mental health services through Q method,and interviews 23 college students with one-on-one semi-structured interviews to understand the mental health service needs.On the other hand,12 college students were invited to classify and sort the Q samples.According to the needs of college students’ mental health services,an empirical study on the intimate relationship of peers in college students is conducted.The study found that: 1.There are five types of mental health service demand for college students: self-education demanders,demand-sensitive demanders,environmentally-sensitive demanders,teachers and students education demanders and peer education demanders;There are specific needs for professionals,service content,service methods and service environments that provide mental health services.3.Peer group counseling has a positive effect on improving the intimate relationship of college students,which can enhance the self-worth of college students in love.Enhance the trust of love peers;4,professional peer leaders and a safe and comfortable group environment are the main factors in the positive role of peer group counseling.Based on the research results,suggestions were made on the management system of mental health education,the classification of mental health service needs,and the working mechanism and development of peer group counseling...
