The primary school Chinese textbook is an important teaching resource which is mainly written and supplemented by illustrations.Illustrations serve as the "second language" of the Chinese textbooks and play an important role in helping teachers and students learn.The middle and low grade students have just entered the system of learning Chinese language knowledge.Due to their limited ability in abstract thinking,they mainly rely on image thinking to learn.Illustrations can make up for the deficiencies of abstract text,visually and vividly reproduce the knowledge points of textbook text,and stimulate students 'interest in learning.Illustrations are an indispensable speech reference for middle and low grade students.Compared with the Chinese textbooks of People's Education(2001Edition),the textbooks used for editing have been changed into large format since the fall of 2016.The proportion of illustrations on the page has been improved.The illustrations and the text complement each other.The illustrations are based on the children's standard,Life-oriented,organically combine "childlike innocence" and "artistic ingenuity",and truly achieve life-oriented.This article is divided into four parts.The introduction summarizes the research origin,literature review,concept definition,research method and research value.The first chapter analyzes the illustration content of the primary and middle school textbooks in the edited version,compares and analyzes the textbook illustrations in the edited version with thetextbook illustrations of the People's Education(2001 Edition),and summarizes the illustrations in the edited version features and innovation.The second chapter combines the teaching practice and the specific text content and exercises,and summarizes the illustrations to the auxiliary functions of Chinese teaching.The third chapter is based on the auxiliary functions of education and teaching of textbook illustrations,and provides optimization suggestions on the problems of using textbook illustrations: raising the awareness of using illustrations and combining teaching with graphics;studying the applicable teaching methods of illustrations,and making illustrations valuable;reasonable use multimedia technology to dynamically supplement extracurricular illustrations.
