Objective: This study wants to understand the current situation of frustration tolerance of junior high school students in China,explore the internal relationship between parenting style,attribution style,core self-evaluation and frustration tolerance of junior high school students,and put forward corresponding suggestions based on the research results,so as to improve the level of frustration tolerance of junior high school students,and help them face setbacks and difficulties in life more bravely and actively.Methods: This paper used the questionnaire of Chinese version of the simplified parenting style questionnaire,which was localized by Chinese scholars Jiang Jiang et al,the frustration tolerance questionnaire of middle school students,which was compiled by Yang Fan of Soochow University,the multi-dimensional and multi-directional Attribution Scale,which was compiled by Lefcourt et al,and the core self-evaluation scale,which was translated and revised by Du Jianzheng.This paper selected a middle school in a county of Shandong Province,and used stratified sampling method to select three classes from grade one,grade two,grade three and grade four.650 questionnaires were distributed and 561 valid questionnaires were recovered,with an effective recovery rate of 86.3%.Results:(1)Junior high school students' frustration tolerance and core self-evaluation are in the general level,internal control score is higher than external control score,parents tend to use emotional warmth and over protection.There are significant differences in gender in father's refusal,gender and grade in father's over-protection,and significant differences in mother's cultural level in mother's emotional warmth.There are significant differences in the only child or not in internal control attribution,grade in external control attribution.There are significant differences in gender and mother's education level in core self-evaluation.(2)Correlation analysis showed that parents' emotional warmth is positively correlated with core self-evaluation,frustration tolerance and internal control attribution,and negatively correlated with external control attribution;parents' over-protection is negatively correlated with core self-evaluation and frustration tolerance,and positively correlated with internal and external control attribution;Parents' refusal is negatively correlated with core self-evaluation and frustration tolerance,positively correlated with external control attribution,and not significantly correlated with internal control attribution;Core self-evaluation and frustration tolerance are negatively correlated with external control attribution,but not significantly correlated with internal control attribution;Core self-evaluation is positively correlated with frustration tolerance.(3)Structural equation model analysis showed thatparenting style can positively predict junior high school students' frustration tolerance.External control attribution plays a significant mediating role in the influence of father's emotional warmth,father's rejection,mother's emotional warmth and mother's rejection on frustration tolerance.Core self-evaluation plays a significant mediating role in the influence of father's emotional warmth,father's rejection,mother's emotional warmth and mother's rejection on frustration tolerance.External control attribution and core self-evaluation play a chain mediating role in the influence of father's emotional warmth,father's rejection,mother's emotional warmth and mother's rejection on frustration tolerance.Conclusion:(1)The more positive the parenting style is,the stronger the frustration tolerance of junior high school students is,and the weaker the reverse.(2)The more parents adopt emotional warmth,the more difficult it is for junior high school students to form external control attribution,the higher their core self-evaluation,and ultimately help them form a higher level of frustration tolerance.(3)The more the parents adopt the rejected parenting style,the easier the junior high school students are to form the external control attribution style,the lower the core self-evaluation,and ultimately lead to the formation of a lower level of frustration tolerance.
