The Standard of Chemistry Curriculum for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)pointed out that "chemistry curriculum of ordinary senior high schools is a basic education course cohering with chemistry or science courses of compulsory education".A good cohesive education is conducive to the implementation of the educational concept of establishing morality and cultivating people, promoting lifelong development of students. With the steady advance of the new college entrance examination reform, students should not only adapt to the change of learning pace from junior high school to senior high school, but also face the problem of subject selection after entering senior high school. Therefore,it is of vital importance to connect junior high school with senior high school. The study on the coherence of chemistry textbooks is helpful for high school chemistry teachers to correctly understand the compiling intention of textbooks so as to better conduct cohesive education. On this basis, this paper started from textbooks to study the coherence of PEP chemistry textbooks between the junior high school and the 2019 edition of senior high school.First of all, this paper conducted text analysis on junior and senior high school chemistry textbooks in combination with the changes in the system construction, column design and content presentation of the new textbooks. It started from the analysis of the internal structure coherence and the column writing intention of chemistry textbooks in junior and senior high schools from a macro perspective. After that,it made a case study on the coherence of atoms and atomic structure, chemical calculation and chemical experiments in junior and senior high school chemistry textbooks from the meso and micro perspective in combination with the content requirements in the curriculum standards of junior and senior high school. In general, chemistry textbooks of junior and senior high school show the mobility and graduality in structure compilation, the column design reflected the similarity and hierarchy, and the content arrangement presented a good cohesion.Secondly, this paper compiled a teacher questionnaire based on the cohesive points in the junior and senior high school chemistry textbooks to conduct a questionnaire survey on senior high school chemistry teachers of different school ages,so as to understand their cohesive teaching and the cognition of the cohesive content in the textbook,as well as confirm the experimental scheme of conducting expanded cohesive teaching from grade nine. After the implementation of practical teaching,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the students of the two classes taken practical teaching by the comparative experimental method. The results showed that the development of the expanded cohesive teaching is conducive to promoting students to change their learning methods, develop cognitive abilities, and enhance scientific literacy. Finally, the following suggestions on cohesive teaching were put forward combining with practical experience.First, knowledge coherence lays foundation.Teachers should pay attention to the textbooks of different grades and grasp the coherence of knowledge content.Second, method coherence improves ability.Teachers should update teaching methods in time in the teaching process, and guide students to connect with the learning methods of the senior high school.Third, emotion coherence forms literacy.Focusing on the exploration of emotional materials in the textbooks to implement emotional goals,so as to improve students' scientific literacy, and promote the organic integration of junior and senior high school cohesive education.
