Since the 1980 s,Deng Xiaoping proposed that "education should be modern,world-oriented,and future-oriented." China has begun to implement the "education opening-up strategy." While supporting and encouraging outstanding domestic talents to go abroad for further studies,they have also actively studied advanced education concepts and teaching experience from abroad.Moreover,China carried out science education as an important strategic measure to enhance the country's comprehensive national strength.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also pointed out: "Talent is a strategic resource to realize national rejuvenation and win the initiative of international competition." In the face of the shortage of innovative,compound and comprehensive talents in China,developing education is essential.China's education development strategy has adhered to "going out" and "introducing." Through continuous deepening of curriculum reform,strengthening the country's diversified exchanges with the world in the political,economic,cultural and other fields.We are promoting the internationalization of education and the development of the world peace.AP(Advanced Placement)American Advanced Course is a college preparatory course project developed and organized by The College Board and vigorously promoted in high school.The project originated from 1955-1956.During these sixty years of development,it has maintained stable development and has become a globally recognized mature curriculum system related to college admission standards.With the improvement of people's living standards,more and more families chose to send their children abroad after high school.Most of them think it is a way to enhance teaching background.Meeting the needs of the overseas study market,various international schools,international classes,and overseas training institutions have mushroomed.Some school set up international courses in a hurry,without acomprehensive understanding about international courses.They just turn the course learning into standardized examination training straightly,ignoring the concept of international courses.Students are guided to learning completely for examination.Therefore,there are many unsolved problems hidden behind this craze of studying abroad.How to effectively integrate international courses with Chinese senior courses? How to train a student to become a person who has both Chinese cultural characteristics and an international perspective? How can students not only master the solid theoretical knowledge,but also learn how to combine theory with practice,and use experiments to explore ways to solve practical problems during the implementation of international courses? We cannot copy the international curriculum blindly.Only by fully considering the academic situation,carefully comparing the teaching content and teaching philosophy of the international curriculum with the domestic curriculum,can we better integrate the international curriculum and the domestic curriculum.This thesis seek common ground while reserving differences and avoid international curriculum unsatisfied with the environment during the curriculum practice.At present,the relevant resources available are scarce.The author wants to find out a feasible solution to effectively integrate the two courses by comparing and exploring AP chemistry courses with Chinese senior chemistry course.This article first elaborates the background of the introduction of international courses in high school.It is clear that the opening of international courses is of great significance to the internationalization of education in China.And it has a driving effect on China's curriculum reform and educational modernization.Then the author consulted a wealth of information on international courses,AP program and course integration.Furthermore the author browsed the websites of a large number of international course providers.In the process of continuous learning and verification,a basic introduction was made to the AP curriculum system and ordinary high school curriculum system.The AP chemistry course and the general high school curriculum are further compared and analyzed over the content,curriculum requirements,examination evaluation and other aspects.At the same time,based on the author's own work practice and interviews with teachers and students,the curriculum integration is carried out from various aspects such as teaching content arrangement,class arrangement,teacher allocation,and assessment methods.Finally the author can make a conclusion of practice strategy for AP chemistry localization.It aims for cultivating chemistry learners and interested persons with international vision and discipline cultivation.It can provide a reference for the cultivation of diversified talents in general high schools,as well as for the opening of international courses and the reform of basic education in general high schools.
