Life is the growth foundation of human.Improving the quality of life is also the starting and belonging point of life education.There are so many common unhealthy phenomena like suicide,violence and distortion of values happened among the teenagers groups with the accelerated development of society.Junior middle school students are in adolescence,which is an important stage in the development of life values.Therefore,life education for junior middle school students is an urgent task.The core concept “all-round developed people” of the Chinese students develop key competencies is highly compatible with life education,which can provide guiding principles for the implementation of life education,and life education also helps the implementation of key competencies.The course of morality and the rule of law in junior middle school is a subject with rich life education content.The course is used to train students to form correct life values with the content of life education.The life education status survey of the morality and the rule of law course was taken in three representative middle schools in Nanchong City,Sichuan Province through questionnaire surveys and interviews.At present,the life education of morality and rule of law course has achieved certain results in its implementation,but there are still some deficiencies which mainly reflected in several aspects,including the lack of school's overall attention to life education,the low-level of teacher's life education literacy,life values deviation in some students and imperfections in teaching materials about life education.The reasons for these problems are determined multifactorially.The schools pursuit of progression rate and neglect of life education;teachers could not completely understand the life education and they are not aware of the importance life education resource development;students' values deviated because of the influence of multiple social values and excellent living environment;the restraint of culture on sensitive issues of life education in teaching materials.The following measurements should be taken for these existing problems: First,the school's support for life education should be strengthen.Secondly,the teachers of the life education qualities of morality and rule of law course in junior middle school should be improved.Next,guiding students to establish correct values of life.Through these measures,the life education effect of the junior middle school morality and rule of law course is better.
