Research On Xia Mianzun's Writing Theory

Xia Mianzun is not only a famous writer,translator and publisher,but also an outstanding Chinese educator in morden history.In the theoretical research and practice of Chinese education for up to more than 20 years,Xia Mianzun inherited the traditional Chinese writing theories,at the same time,he carried out developments and innovations in inheritance,combined writing education thoughts with writing practices,left a unique writing theory for later generations.Some of these viewpoints still permeate in the current writing teaching practice.Researching on Xia Mianzun's Writing Theories makes positive significance to solve the problems existing in writing teaching and writing practice.This study attempts to establish an objectivity and complete theoretical system of Xia Mianzun's Writing thoughts,reflect the whole picture of Xia Mianzun's Writing Theories truthfully and comprehensively.It consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The text includes five parts,discussing the main contents of Xia Mianzun's Writing Theories more systematically.The first part is the teleology of writing service for reality.Xia Mianzun put forward " writing is life,not life's ornament " " writing is a matter of meeting practical needs " and writing skills serve life,and then,Xia Mianzun emphasized that writing should be based on life and observe life.Xia Mianzun's interpretations of Writing Purpose Theories have the practical value of promoting the writing purpose for " fame " being changed into " practical ".The second part is the writing subject literacy teleology of " valuing truth and seeking sincerity." Xia Mianzun pointed out that writing was a manifestation of personality when he was discussing the relationship between being a person and writing.And then,writing subject Should " value truth and seek sincerity ",avoid moaning without illness,correct writing attitude,unify writing with being a person.The third part is Xia Mianzun's stylistic writing theory about one writing style for one article genre.Xia Mianzun emphasized that writer Should pay attention to the cultivation of stylistic awareness,he classified articles according to different standards,and pointed out the corresponding writing techniques.Xia Mianzun put forward the writing theory about one writing style for one article genre.In addition,Xia Mianzun divided the articles into chronicles,narrative proses,argumentative writings and expository writings,it laid the most basic pattern for modern style classification.The fourth part is the audience theory of "'remember a reader's consciousness in mind ".Xia Mianzun emphasized when we were writing we should have the expected readers in mind,to a certain extent,this theory improves readers' position in writing activities.As for how to culture the consciousness,he put forward the following methods of Writing:six " W " s,impression description,clear and proper writing assessment standard,true and clear writing basic condition.The fifth part is the teleology of Xia Mianzun's Writing Practice.Xia Mianzun put forward two writing methods: one is that knowledge and action are one,skills go hand in hand with practices,another is that starting with essays and distributing them to writing practice.These are experience summaries that Xia Mianzun got from his Long-term Chinese Education and Writing Practices.
