Under the guidance of core literacy education,cultivating students' ability of scientific inquiry has become the focus of classroom teaching.The history of biological science records scientists' scientific exploration process,contains scientists' unremitting efforts and important scientific discoveries,and is a good resource and material for the education of scientific inquiry ability.This research has carried out the teaching research and practice of using the history of biological science to cultivate students' ability of scientific inquiry,hoping to provide valuable teaching reference for the compatriots engaged in biological education.Through the literature research method,it analyzes and defines the specific connotation of the history of biological sciences and scientific inquiry ability and the internal relationship between the two,and combs the history of biological science teaching and the use of history of biological sciences to cultivate students' ability of scientific inquiry at home and abroad,Clarify the significance of the topic and the value of this study.On this basis,this paper analyzes the changes of the history of Biological Science in the new and old textbooks of senior high school biology,and summarizes the guiding significance of the changes in the new biology textbooks for this paper.This paper studies the teaching design concept of cultivating students' ability of scientific inquiry based on the history of biological science,and determines the teaching organizational steps of cultivating students' ability of scientific inquiry by using the history of biological science in high school classroom,so as to provide theoretical support for practical research.Two parallel classes in grade one were selected to carry out teaching practice.Before the practice research,questionnaire survey was used to understand the current teaching situation of the history of Biological Science in the classroom and the level of students' scientific inquiry ability.The experimental class takes the history of biological science as the main line,according to the "creation of scenarios,encourages students to question,looking for evidence,try to let the students design experiment,experiment testing alone,demonstrated fully the evidence and concluded that express exchange" the organization of classroom teaching,carry out traditional classroom teaching against the class,After the practice,the self-made test paper of scientific inquiry ability to teststudents' scientific inquiry ability.The results of practical research show that the teaching strategy of cultivating students' scientific inquiry ability by using the history of biological science can improve students' scientific inquiry ability to a certain extent,develop students' scientific thinking ability,and change the way of teaching and learning,which has certain application and promotion value.After reflecting on the teaching practice research,the following teaching opinions are put forward: teachers should pay attention to the accumulation of the historical materials of biological science in normal teaching;teachers should reasonably select the historical materials of biological science that contain the ability of scientific inquiry and conform to the students' latest development areas.teachers should constantly learn new teaching strategies,strive to improve students' learning efficiency,optimize the teaching process,and cultivate students' core literacy in biology.
