China's biology curriculum reform has gone through more than ten years,and its focus is to realize the transition from "double-base" orientation to "biological science literacy"orientation."General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" clearly proposes that the core literacy of the biology subject should be the purpose of the curriculum.As an important part of the core literacy of biology,the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability plays a dominant role in improving scientific literacy.The history of biological science is the history of the occurrence and development of biological science,the process history of scientists exploring biological knowledge,and a natural teaching material that can be applied to the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability."Full-time Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)" and "General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" respectively put forward "emphasis on guiding students to learn the views and solutions held by biologists in the process of research "Thoughts and methods of the problem","We must pay attention to the study of the history of biological sciences in education and teaching;require teachers to use scientific history materials to organize teaching rationally." Integrating the history of biological sciences into teaching practice and carrying out inquiry learning is conducive to the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability.After reading a large amount of literature,the author explained the related concepts such as the history of biological science and scientific inquiry ability,and discussed the relationship between the two.After theoretical analysis,the author uses questionnaires,interviews,observations and other practical methods to conduct research to understand the current status of the application of the history of biological sciences in junior middle school biology teaching.The level of interest,access channels and understanding,the level of juniorhigh school students' scientific inquiry ability.And select the teaching case of biological science history in teaching materials,and compile the teaching design for the purpose of cultivating students' inquiry ability.The main conclusions obtained in this study are: the history of biological sciences has unique educational value and is a good material for cultivating the scientific inquiry ability of junior high school students;Ability;junior high school students are more interested in the history of biological sciences and have a better learning attitude,but are limited to teaching materials and insufficient grasp;junior high school students are very interested in biological experiments and have the courage to ask questions,but the scientific inquiry ability and the ability to ask questions need to be further improved;The use of the history of biological sciences to cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability has not been fully implemented into the practical process in the teaching process of the junior high school stage.In this regard,the author puts forward teaching suggestions in combination with literature research.For example,teachers should expand their knowledge of scientific history,choose appropriate scientific history to compile instructional design,and apply it to teaching practice;use biological science history to enrich classroom teaching forms and create teaching situations To cultivate the scientific literacy of students and infiltrate the thoughts and spirits of scientists for students.
