The 2017 New Curriculum Standard – “Ordinary High School Biology Curriculum Standards”(2017 Version)focuses on the future development of students,aiming at improving the core literacy of students' biology disciplines and taking strengthening moral education and cultivate people as the basic task.“Scientific inquiry”,one of the core literacy goals that is advocated in the new curriculum standard,has the essence to cultivate and develop students' scientific inquiry ability,thereby promoting the development of students' core literacy and achieving the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivate people.The new curriculum standard emphasizes that if there is the need to promote the development of students,teachers must guide students to carry out inquiry learning in the course of teaching.Inquiring learning emphasizes the initiative of students' learning.Teachers should build staging for students to let them learn and reach,so as to promote the construction of their knowledge system instead of the teachers“imparting” knowledge to students.The third year of senior high school is an important period for the independent construction of students' knowledge system and the improvement of scientific inquiry ability,which is also the period of struggle before the college entrance examination.The confusion that high school teachers face is that they should not only improve their scientific inquiry ability in the third year of senior high school but also ensure that the students can pass the college entrance examination smoothly.This is a great pressure for them.Therefore,in order to deal with the confusion faced by high school teachers,this study takes a high school high school biology experiment review class as the research object,which attempts to apply inquiry learning to the high school biology experiment review class so as to enhance the students' scientific inquiry ability and to provide some references for the teaching of teachers in the third year of senior high school.This study mainly adopts literature research method,investigation research method,experimental research method and comparative research method.Through the literature research method,it understands the status quo of the teaching practice research of the high school biology experiment review class,it scientifically explores the connotation,components and levels of competence,and explores the characteristics of learning and the teaching process;through investigating the test tool in the investigation research method(scientific inquiry test papers and test scores),learn about the students' scientific inquiry ability and learning status,select the experimental classes and the uncontrolled classes;through experimental research methods carry out experimental teaching experiments of inquiry learning,that is,after selecting teaching contents and conducting teaching design,implement the teaching design case in the experimental classes with the inquiry learning as the purpose while implement the teaching design case based on the grant-based learning in the uncontrolled classes;through the comparative research method,that is,after the teaching experiment,arrange a test of scientific inquiry ability and academic achievements among the students in the experimental classes and uncontrolled classes,analyze the improvement of students' scientific inquiry ability,and thereby judging whether the implementation of inquiry learning in the review classes of high school biology experiments can effectively improve students' scientific inquiry ability.The results of the research indicate that:(1)The students have significant improvement in their scientific inquiry ability,which is mainly reflected in the total scores of scientific inquiry ability,the levels of scientific inquiry ability,and the improvement of the components.(2)The ability of scientific inquiry and the academic achievements are a positively correlated relationship.The improvement of students' academic achievements is changed with the improvement of scientific inquiry ability.Therefore,this study draws a conclusion that the application of inquiry learning in the review classes of high school biology experiments can effectively improve students' scientific inquiry ability.
