With science and technology promote the development of our human society, but people tend to be more emphasis on science’s contribution to the social economy, and to emphasize the role of science with technology. However, whether the United States in 1996 the first generation of science education standards, is now STEM education, and the next generation of science education standards are referred to the goal of science and technology, Visible in addition to the science, the related technical descriptive and operational knowledge to student learning and understanding of science, technology and society is just as important, thus this article selects the present case the integration of science and technology as a hovercraft.In this paper, the literature method,the experimental method and narrative research method are adopted in paper.First of all, the paper analyzes the background of current domestic and international science education emphasis on the technology and the engineering, this paper discusses the origin and purpose that using the history of hovercraft as the study of cases, and combined with the current academic study of the history of science, philosophy of science, sociology of science, reviews the history of science on the value of science education. Because of the hovercraft as a case that fuse science and technology, the author also combined with predecessors’research and the experience of exploring the hovercraft.This paper expounds the value of the history of technology for science education and teachers’professional development.Secondly, combining with the experiment method and the narrative research method, the author describes process of exploring the hovercraft from two route of course.one route is the author’s experience of exploring the hovercraft, and using technology to improve the hovercraft, another approach is the description that the author combining with the experience and history used hovercraft in teaching practice, In the description own research and teaching course, the author makes every effort to complete representation of the twists and turns, harvest in the process of exploring, present a vivid exploration course for the reader.Third, review the history of hovercraft from the enlightenment to the practical,and records the real situation of the preparation and implementation that use the hovercraft as a case of science and technology inquiry in teaching practice.The fourth, combining with the author’s research, emphasize the recalling of childhood learning and the importance of personal experience to explore in fusing technology, and based on this, make a suggestion that blends the personal experience and the history of science and technology into inquiry activity design:1,Choose the suitable for the development of students as the material for the level of invention or discovery.2,Determine the nature of the material.3,establish a feasible model.4,Discuss the history of the history of science and technology philosophy of science and technology with students.Finally, the author expounds some principles and calculation method related to the hovercraft technology in the appendix.. To make the reader more detailed understanding of hovercraft technology development, in order to better implement teaching.
