Teaching materials are the basic components for teachers to teach,and the most direct resources for students to learn.The quality of teaching materials will not only affects the quality of teacher's teaching,but also affects the learning effect of learners.Therefore,Indonesia currently using of Chinese textbooks will automatically affect the overall Indonesia's Chinese teaching and this is cannot be ignored.This thesis mainly describes the current situation of using Chinese textbooks in International Secondary Schools based in Jakarta.It mainly investigates the using widely of Singaporean“Zhong Xue Hua Wen”textbooks in Jakarta International School to explore whether the textbook fit the needs of the Indonesian learners,whether can improve the language ability of the Indonesian learners,and whether they can be cultivated the interest of Indonesian students in learning Chinese.At the same time,for Indonesia's secondary Chinese textbooks propose out some perpectives and suggestions.This thesis contents 5 sections.The first section is the introduction.The second section describes the details of analysis on “Zhong Xue Hua Wen”textbooks itself which includes the writing concepts,characteristics,curriculum objectives of the textbook,units,text structure,text topic content,material selection,the layout of language elements,language skill training,analyses the various exercises in the textbook and in the activity book.The third section is the analysis of the survey data of teachers and students,through the feedback data of 90 students and 85 teachers in 4 International schools in Jakarta which include analysis the form and content of the textbook and its suitable using in Jakarta International school.The fourth section is based on the investigation and analysis,for Indonesian secondary Chinese textbook put forward suggestions on the objectives,content and form of this textbook.The last section is the general summary of the research of this thesis.
