With the advancement of education modernizing,building up a body of high-quality professional creative-teachers has become one of the ten strategic tasks for the development of education in China.Creative-teacher is the critical element of implementing creative education.Creative education is the direction of education development in which all around the world and areas people cultivate innovative talents to adapt to the era of knowledge economy.Geographical education is indispensable to the development of responsible and active citizens in the present and future world.In the context of “Comprehensively deepening curriculum reform and implementing the fundamental task of Lideshuren”,the goal of the secondary geography curriculum has been transformed from the “three-dimensional goal” into the four key competences—— perspective of human-nature coordination,integrated mindset,regional cognition,and geographical practical ability.This is a new challenge to geography teaching and students' learning methods.Teachers need to establish higher education pursuits and innovate teaching methods.Thus,the research on secondary geography creative-teachers shows important theoretical and practical significance.Researching teachers should listen to their voices and pay more attention to their individual work and life.This study attempts to realistically present the growing path of a secondary geography creative-teacher,thereby enriching the empirical research on creative-teacher,and providing operable reference for the majority of secondary geography teachers to understand the concept of “creative-teacher”.This study selected a young middle school geography teacher in Chongqing as the research object.The object of study actively participated in the implementation of the curriculum reform and achieved outstanding results,formed a unique education cognition of geography and effectively practiced,and has rich achievements in creative education,which meets the conditions of "creative-teacher".Taking qualitative research as the guiding ideology,using case study methods,the study extracts and analyzes several key events in the growing process of the research object chronologically based on a large number of interviews and data collection.Finally,present the research from the following three parts——academic growing process,professional growing process and the growing path.Firstly,the research presents key events in the course of academic growth(such as profession-choice making,the most impressive lessons,learning calligraphy,doing research independently,etc.)in the form of education narrative.These key events have profoundly affected the research object's professional beliefs,personality traits,and scientific research and humanistic competence,making him eligible to become an creative-teacher matched with proper knowledge structure and competence.Secondly,the research analyzes the achievements of creative education,the implementation process,influencing factors,and significance of three key events(inquiry learning curriculum,class teaching competition,and high-level teacher-training course called "Sangaoban")in the process of professional growing.It is believed that under the influence of these three events,the teacher has gradually formed a dynamically constructed idea of knowledge,an equal and democratic view of students,an opinion of process-oriented evaluation,and deep understanding of the value of geography teaching.Thirdly,referring to the theory of teachers' professional development stages,the research proposed the characteristics,structure,and influencing factors of the growing path of the research object,based on the proposed comprehensive analysis of the academic and professional growing process.The growing path is composed of an inquiry-learning line and a regular-teaching line,with the characteristics of phase,leap and repetition.The two lines are closely linked and infiltrate each other,and jointly promote the object to improve the effectiveness of teaching and produce creative education achievement.The influencing factors of the growing path are divided into promotional factors and restrictional factors.The former includes thinking and personality quality,education perspective and external environment,and the latter includes exam-oriented education culture and teacher evaluation system.
