With the implementation and promotion of "ASEAN integration" and the spreading and development of overseas Chinese culture,the Chinese language education in Singapore has entered a new stage of development,and Singapore has gradually formed its unique educational philosophy and development characteristics.Under this background,it is urgent to conduct in-depth research on the problems and countermeasures of Chinese language education in Singapore,optimize the curriculum system and teaching material,and promote its scientific development.By means of a large number of literature reading,classroom observation and questionnaire survey methods,this paper combs the research status and achievements of Chinese language education in Singapore,and gives a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese language education in the overseas Chinese middle school in Singapore..The first is the literature review.This part includes the definition of relevant concepts and the research summary on the development of Chinese language education and the development of Chinese language education in Singapore.Secondly,taking the overseas Chinese middle school in Singapore as an example,this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of its Chinese language education.Then,based on the results of the investigation and analysis,the existing problems of Chinese language teaching in Singapore under the current background are summarized from four aspects,namely,the influence of policy and environment,the arrangement of school authorities;curriculum setting and educational technical knowledge support;teachers,textbooks,teaching methods;and the conflict between parents' promotion and students' acquisition motivation.Finally,according to the problems summarized above,the corresponding solutions are proposed.In the hope of enlightening the Chinese language teaching in the future.Through research and investigation,it is found that the teaching of Chinese language in the new era background,first of all,in the aspect of Chinese language schools,needs to change the development concept and establish a favourable Chinese language learning environment.In terms of teachers,it is necessary to pay attention to the training of teachers and the improvement of overall quality.In terms of textbooks,we need to revise and update the existing Chinese language materials and add Chinese language coaching books and extra-curricular reading materials.At the same time,it is necessary to promote the flexibility and diversity of teaching methods,optimize the curriculum setting and evaluation mechanism,and establish a systematic Chinese language education curriculum model.
