The Ideological and political courses are key to the basic task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people.As an activity-based teaching method whose goal is to cultivate students' core accomplishment of ideological and political course,issue-based teaching has come into being in accordance with the requirements of new college entrance examination,new curriculum standard and new curriculum reform,which meets the development of this course as well as the teachers and students.This paper emphasizes on discussing the use of issue-based teaching in high school's ideological and political courses and concluding its practical experience so that teachers might get the reference they need in teaching.In this paper the author mainly employs literature research method,case study method,interview method and summarizing method.The body part is divided into four parts to illustrate the research on issue-based teaching in high school's ideological and political courses.The first part summarizes relative theories on issue-based teaching based on previous researches.To begin with,the author will illustrate core concepts such as issue,issue-based teaching as well as issue-based teaching in high school's ideological and political courses.Next,the author will introduce relative theories such as constructivism,the theory of humanistic learning,marxist philosophy etc.The basic features of issue-based teaching in this course which are accomplishment tendency in teaching objectives,activity tendency in teaching contents,curricular tendency in activities and diversification tendency in teaching evaluation will be discussed later.Last,the author will analyze the importance and feasibility of employing issue-based teaching in high school's ideological and political course under present background.The second part,combined with the practice,features,and procedure of issue-based teaching,illustrates the necessary principles while using this teaching method by interviewing and summarizing.First,while determining the issue,one should stick to the following principles:political and academic coincidence,value and knowledge coincidence,constructive and critical coincidence;second,while designing the class,one should stick to the following principles: presupposition and generativity coincidence,theoretical and practical coincidence,capability-orientation and quality-orientation coincidence;third,the implement of teaching should stick to dominance and subjectivity coincidence,indoctrination and inspiration coincidence,as well as dominant education and recessive education coincidence;last,teaching evaluation should stick to procedure and outcome coincidence,unity and diversity coincidence,as well as quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation coincidence.The basic principle of ideological and political course in this new era should be always following the instruction of president Xi's "eight coincidences" put forward for the innovation of this course.The third part presents the basic teaching steps which include specifying the goals and determining the issue,disintegrating the issue and designing the teaching,as well as organizing discussion and evaluating the teaching by referring to previous teaching cases.In the first step,teacher needs to be clear about the teaching objectives and select the issue according to new curriculum standard's advice and the focal points as well as difficult points in teaching.In the second step,teacher needs to determine sub-issues,design teaching procedure and create teaching situation based on the analysis of teaching materials.In the third step,teacher leads students to cooperate,research and show their learning result.In the end,teacher evaluates the class based on students' overall behavior and gaining.The fourth part,combined with the previous parts,tries to conclude problems that need attention while employing issue-based teaching in high school's ideological and political course.First,pay attention to selecting suitable issues.The teaching should be based on the nature of this course to improve students' political consciousness and values.The issue chosen should show the focal points and difficult points of the class and focus on cultivating students' qualities.Second,pay attention toreasonable and open teaching design.The activities designed by the teacher must be related to the issue and provide students with access to cooperative research and thinking.Next,pay attention to building a democratic atmosphere for students to learn by participating in various learning activities.Teacher should get to know students' cognition on the issue,offer them chances to express themselves,lead them to be the subject of the class and combine class teaching with social practice.Finally,pay attention to the improvement and authenticity of the evaluating system.Teacher needs to use scientific issue-based evaluation scale to evaluate students' core behavior.Teaching evaluation should be various and based on the teaching procedure and combine self assessment with pair assessment to help both teachers and students improve their overall qualities.
