Cultivating top-notch innovative talents is the need of building an innovative country,as well as the historical mission of universities and the intrinsic requirements of their own development.In recent years,the bachelor-master-doctor thorough training of talents has become one of the important measures for universities to promote education and teaching reform and explore the top-notch innovative talent training mode.It is a training mode that connects the three stages of bachelor,master,and doctor,and develops a cohesive training plan,which aims at break down the barriers between different stages of learning,cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability,and strive to achieve the all-round development of students' knowledge,ability and quality through systematic and coherent system design.At present,the universities are in a crucial period of reform and tackling tough problems.Objectively evaluating the actual results and accurately revealing its existing problems is of great significance for improving the level of education and teaching,cultivating outstanding talents adapted to national development strategies,and achieving sustainable development of higher education.Based on this background,the study mainly focuses on the following four parts.The first part is to analyze the practical process of the bachelor-master-doctor thorough training of talents at home and abroad,and discuss the similarities and differences of them.The second part took the case university as the object of investigation,and compiled questionnaires on students' learning engagement,academic self-efficacy,professional perceived quality and academic achievement.The questionnaire survey are conducted between the students of the throughtraining and those of the staged training in order to analyze the effect and problems of the through-training from the practical level.The third part discusses the essential purpose,application scope,key links,institutional obstacles and the relationship with the China's degree system from the theoretical level.The fourth part combines the above research,from the viewpoints of the higher education diversification theory,general system theory,individualized teaching theory,and total quality management theory,puts forward suggestions to improve the cultivation.The research shows that the bachelor-master-doctor thorough training of talents featuring the integration of undergraduate and graduate,the combination of general education and professional education,the integration of science and education,and international training,etc.Compared with the students trained in stages,the through-training mode presents certain advantages and effects.But its disadvantages are as follows: in the top-level design,the selection method is not scientific enough,the training program is not connected enough,and the system of exam-free recommendation is limited.In the actual operation process,insufficient interdisciplinary penetration,the role of undergraduate tutorial system is not prominent,the level of international training is low,and the operation of teaching management is not smooth.In terms of training effectiveness,students' learning investment is insufficient,their sense of academic self-efficacy and professional perception is not strong,and their academic achievements cannot achieve the desired effect.Combined with the above research conclusions,the study puts forward suggestions from four aspects.The first is to set up the concept of diversification in higher education and explore flexible and diverse training methods.The second is to uphold systematic ideas,and to coordinate the design of the bachelor-master-doctor three-phase training plan.The third is to follow the principle of teaching students according to their aptitude to promote the individual development of students.The fourth is to apply the comprehensive quality management method and improve quality monitoring and process management.
