Family education is an important part of modern education, and a good family environment is an important guarantee for the healthy growth of children. This article uses the survey data of the CEPS(Chinese Education Tracking Survey)2014-2015 school year to investigate the direct impact of the family's socioeconomic status on the development of the children, using the children's academic performance and mental health as the measurement indicators It also examines the moderating effect of parental education expectations on the socioeconomic status of the family and the development of offspring. The study found that:(1)Family socioeconomic status helps to improve the development level of the offspring.Among them, the regression coefficient of the family socioeconomic status on the mental state of the offspring is 0.124,and the regression coefficient on the academic performance of the offspring is 0.163.(2)Parents 'educational expectations have a significant positive effect on the offsprings psychological status and academic performance, and have a positive effect.(3)When considering the adjustment effect of parental education expectations, the variables affect the psychological status and academic performance of the offspring. The coefficients of the interaction items of parental education expectations and family socioeconomic status are significantly positive, both of which pass the 1% level. The significance test of parental education expectations has a moderating effect on the path from the family's socioeconomic status to the development level of the offspring.(4)The results of heterogeneity analysis indicate that there are gender heterogeneity and regional heterogeneity in the regulatory effects. The effect of parental education expectations on girls' mental state and academic performance is stronger than that of boys. The effect of parental education expectations on urban children's psychological state is stronger than that of rural children, and the effect of rural children's academic performance is stronger than that of urban children generation.Based on the above findings, this article proposes strategies to promote the development of offspring:(1)Parents should establish a positive sense of participation, and continue,be patient, and actively participate in their daily activities and learning.(2)Parents should establish correct educational concepts and maintain appropriate educational expectations.(3)Pay attention to the overall development of offspring, and encourage the development of offspring's personality in schools andfamilies.(4)The society should establish a good family education support service system. This article discusses the impact mechanism of family socioeconomic status on offspring development, and provides theoretical support for further exploring the impact of family socioeconomic status and parental education expectations on offspring development, using CEPS(China Education Tracking Survey)2014-2015 The survey data followed up provides richer data support for the empirical analysis of this article. It has reference significance for how to better realize the development of children.
