As the core competence of language teaching,reading ability is an indispensable intelligent activity in modern society.Skimming ability is also an indispensable part of reading ability which can help us broaden our reading horizon and learn all kinds of knowledge quickly and adapt to the situation of rapid social development and explosive updated information.The elementary school language teaching textbook edited by the Ministry of Education were put into use in 2016.This textbook pays more attention to multiple reading methods of teaching,and enlarges the distinction between intensive reading and skimming classes.It aims at changing the current situation of Chinese reading text teaching.However,as we know,there are still many misunderstandings in the process of Chinese skimming text teaching.Therefore,this study takes the textbooks edited by the Ministry of Education as an example.Based on the deeply understanding of the knowledge of Chinese skimming text,this study uses the research method including questionnaire,interview and classroom observation.Taking the J primary school as an example,this study observes the Chinese skimming text teaching including the following four dimensions:(1)" Understanding the basic concepts such as skimming ",(2)"Understanding the skimming and other relevant parts of current curriculum standards",(3)"Analysing the arrangement of Chinese skimming texts edited by the Ministry of Education",(4)"Analysing the teaching reality of Chinese skimming text".According to this study,we found some problems such as Skimming classes are become intensive reading class;Skimming classes are become self-reading classes;Lacking the understanding of the whole textbook;.The teaching process is too simple;The reading range of teaching is insufficient.The main reasons are as follows: the pattern of skimming class is mixed up with other types of classes,and the teaching content is not properly selected;some teachers don?t know how to make use of textbooks due to insufficient understanding of them;some teachers simply copy the patterns of famous teachers without deep thinking;some only pay attention to a single text and ignore the interconnection between texts.To solve these problems,there are some strategies: emphasizing and omitting some contents in a proper way according to the topic of the period,the tips for reading,and the structure of the text and so on;making good use of textbooks by a deep-learning of them;being open-minded and using proper teaching pattern according to the situation;associating one textbook with others in a flexible way,such as giving additional information,linking different but relavant textbooks and so on.
