In today's rapidly changing world,with the increasing national attention to school education and students' academic performance,the role of school leaders has attracted much attention.The principal,as the supreme leader of the school,especially the principal of primary and secondary schools,who leads the basic education,is the idol for students to learn.The education system can promote the realization of the goal by cultivating high-quality principals.Therefore,it is inevitable to cultivate principals according to the changing situation.It needs not only increase the importance of effective training for principals,but also require the education system to seek more effective training methods and courses.So how to train primary and secondary school principals and what kind of mechanism should be formed?This essay is using the cultivation of the primary and secondary school principal in Singapore as a reference module,and the training mechanism as an analytical factor.This essay is using the method of literature,historical analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods.This essay discusses how to establish and constantly improve the principal training mechanism in Singapore,so as to provide certain reference in our country middle and primary school principal training mechanism.This study firstly starts from the realistic background of the training mechanism of primary and secondary school principals in Singapore,and sorts out the theoretical basis of the training mechanism from the macro level,such as distributed leadership theory,Gronn's leadership career development theory and complexity theory.Secondly,this essay analyzes the key parts of the mechanism from the horizontal,including the Principal Training Path,Enhanced Performance Management System and Training Mode.Thirdly,from the longitudinal perspective,this essay analyzes the relevant content of principal cultivation courses in primary and secondary schools in Singapore by taking the three famous courses supporting principal cultivation — — Management and Leadership in Schools Programme,Leaders in Education Program and Leaders in Educational Programme International as examples.Finally,by sorting out the current situation and problems of China's primary and secondary school principal training mechanism,and analyzing the characteristics of Singapore's primary and secondary school principal training mechanism,in order to promote the construction and development of China's primary and secondary school principal training mechanism.
