The research on the professional competence of college teachers has always been a hot issue in academic circles,which determines the quality of talent training,and different types of colleges and universities have different goals for talent training due to different schooling orientations,and their teachers' professional competence requirements are different.With the emergence and finalization of application-oriented universities,it shoulders the main responsibility of cultivating higher applied talents in China.Therefore,the academic community has carried out extensive research on them.Among them,the research on the professional competence of applied science college teachers has become one of the hot spots.However,by consulting the literature,it is found that most of the studies are from a macro perspective,without paying attention to the differences between disciplines and majors,and ignoring the basic requirements of professional competence of applied college teachers in different discipline backgrounds.Therefore,I want to focus my research on engineering majors and apply The goal of engineering education personnel training in universities is the entry point.The basic requirements of engineering teachers' professional abilities are explored and based on this,the questionnaire dimension is designed,including two major aspects: the structure of the teaching staff and the professional ability of teachers(engineering teaching ability,Engineering practice ability,scientific research ability,social service ability).Heilongjiang Institute of Technology and Jilin Engineering and Technology Teachers College are two typical local application-oriented university full-time engineering teachers.The questionnaires are distributed.Through statistical analysis,it is found that there is a lack of enterprise work for teachers in the engineering teacher structure of the two application universities.Experience,the problem of a small proportion of double teachers;professional abilities include the lack of engineering teaching ability,low degree of transformation of engineering operation ability,low conversion rate of applied scientific research results,and the need to improve the ability to serve society;teacher training There are some problems such as a relatively low number of practical training programs,pedagogical knowledge and teaching skills being underestimated,and teachers' low participation in training.Based on this,from the three aspects of the government's macro-control,correct guidance of the school and teachers' individual actions,the feasibility suggestions for improving the professional ability of engineering teachers in the two local application-oriented colleges are put forward.
