Research On The Development Path And Countermeasure Of Liberal Arts In First-class Universities Of Science And Engineering Under The Background Of "Double-Class"

The implementation of the “Overall Plan for Promoting the Construction of World-class Universities and First-class Disciplines”,which puts forward higher requirements and challenges for the development of Liberal Arts in China's first-class universities of science and engineering,and also places higher expectations on the construction of first-class liberal arts.Therefore,this thesis comprehensively uses literature analysis,case analysis,SWOT and other research methods,combined with the definition of first-class science and engineering universities and liberal arts in the academic circle,to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the development of liberal arts in science and engineering universities in China,including historical review,appeal and current situation,problems and causes,and environmental analysis(i.e.analyzing its strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats),and advances by using SWOT matrix.At the same time,it makes a comprehensive analysis of the development path of Liberal Arts in the first-class science and engineering universities with typical significance,sums up and summarizes the modes of "small but fine,cross-cutting","dependent and applied","flexible,exquisite" and "big and complete,breakthrough key" and other liberal arts construction paths,and based on the background of "double first-class" construction,puts forward that the optimum path of Liberal Arts Development in first-class universities of science and engineering is "small but fine,cross-type" mode and " dependent and applied" mode,and makes a comprehensive analysis of the two modes in order to summarize the modes that can provide reference for the development of Liberal Arts in other universities.Finally,according to the existing problems and construction path of the liberal arts development of the first-class university of science and engineering under the background of "double first-class",combined with SWOT analysis method,the four strategies of implementing SO,ST,WO and WT are put forward.The SO strategy uses the "brand effect" and "post-development advantage" to build a "quasi-,refined,and distinctive" liberal arts,The SO strategy uses the "brand effect" and "post-development advantage" to build a "quasi-,refined,and distinctive" liberal arts,integrate base construction,deepen the connotation of liberal arts,meet the needs of the country,and cultivate innovative and applied liberal arts talents.The ST strategy is to optimize the layout of the disciplines,“helping the weak,strengthening the support,” and “passive” as the “active”,strengthening the discipline construction,improving the top-level design,and promoting comprehensive reform.The WO strategy is to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation,enhance the influence of the liberal arts,and foster education,strengthen the strength of high-level disciplines,promote interdisciplinary cooperation,and cultivate the growth point of disciplines.The WT strategy is to develop the environment and atmosphere,enhance the strength of the discipline,achieve the development of connotation,and strengthen the cultivation of high-quality innovative and applied talents.
