In such a life-long learning today,a person's reading ability is the premise of learning,but also the basis for success in various jobs.It is pointed out that the age of 3 ~ 8 is the critical period for children to learn basic reading ability.In this period focus on the development of children's good reading habits and autonomous reading ability for children's lifelong reading and academic achievement to lay a solid foundation.Due to the economic conditions and geographical constraints,the early reading education in rural areas of China still has a large gap with the economically developed areas.Compared with urban children,rural children are relatively weak in early reading ability and more likely to have reading difficulties.Therefore,how to improve the quality of early reading education in rural kindergartens and narrow the gap between rural and urban children's early reading level is an important research topic worthy of our attention.As an important place to cultivate rural children's early reading ability,rural kindergartens need to ensure the smooth development of early reading.By investigating the present situation of early reading in rural kindergartens,we can realize the problems of early reading in rural kindergartens and provide scientific and reasonable suggestions for solving the problems.This study selected 10 rural public kindergartens in San He city,Hebei Province as the main research object,using literature,questionnaire,observation,interview methods from the early Reading Environment of rural kindergartens;The selection and delivery of early reading materials in rural kindergartens;the guidance of teachers to children in early reading activities in rural kindergartens;Research on the present situation of early reading in rural kindergartens based on the four dimensions of teaching research and training.According to the results of the survey,there are some problems in the early reading of rural kindergartens,such as the creation of a single environment,the lack of the contents of the early reading materials,the monotonous way in which the early reading activities are carried out,and the deviation of the objectives of the early reading activities,the author analyzes the causes of the problems from five aspects: The children themselves,the kindergarten,the teachers,the parents and the society,and proposes to create a good reading environment,to build a good reading atmosphere,to choose the reading materials suitable for children,to use rich and colorfulreading teaching methods,to educate parents about the importance and necessity of early reading,to increase the government's special investment in rural kindergartens,to constantly improve the quality of teachers in rural kindergartens,to actively participate in teaching research and training,and so on.
