ideological and political education in Colleges and uni versities.At the National Conference on Ideological and political work in Colleges a nd universities held in 2017,General Secretary Xi took "cultivating people by virtue" as the central link in the cause of higher education in China,and "educating people by both sides" as the action guide of Ideological and political education in Colleges a nd universities in the new period.Colleges and universities carry out ideological and political theory education for college students mainly by or through the teaching of I deological and political theory courses.The ideological and political theory course in Colleges and universities undertakes the task of systematic Marxist theory education for college students.It is the main way to help students establish correct political ori entation,establish scientific world outlook,outlook on life and values,and form goo d moral quality.It can be said that the construction of Ideological and political theory course in Colleges and universities is directly related to the construction of new ideo logical defense line and the guidance of new fashion of cultivating morality.Only by paying full attention to the education and teaching of Ideological and political theor y course,can we successfully accomplish the training objectives and aims of educati on.Private colleges and universities have a long history and rapid development as t he socialist characteristic education position in Higher Education of our country.Co mpared with state-run colleges and universities,private colleges and universities are the cradle of cultivating important talents for socialist higher education undertaking t he important task of Ideological and political education for college students,but they are still quite different from state-run colleges and universities in terms of school-ru nning system,management mechanism,employment mode and education status.Sin ce the implementation of the 05 Program for more than 10 years,the construction of Ideological and political theory courses in private colleges and universities has achie ved good results on the whole.The ideological situation of college students has show n a positive,healthy and upward trend.Due to the special characteristics of running schools,capital investment,leadership attention,teacher team construction and other f actors,the current organization and management of Ideological and political theory c ourses in private colleges and universities,teaching management.In order to conscie ntiously implement the policies and regulations of the CPC Central Committee and t he Ministry of Education on the construction of Ideological and political theory cour ses in private colleges and universities,and comprehensively and thoroughly grasp t he reality of carrying out ideological and political theory course education and teachi ng in private colleges and universities in different regions of China,the policy and re gulations of the Ministry of Education on the construction of Ideological and politica l theory courses in private colleges and universities are far from being met.It is parti cularly urgent to summarize the effective experience,find out the difficult problems,analyze the causes and form countermeasures and suggestions in order to better pro mote the rapid and sound development of Ideological and political theory courses in private colleges and universities in China.The third part,based on the problems and causes,tries to put f orward the countermeasures to improve the current construction of Ideological and p olitical theory courses in private colleges and universities from the two dimensions o f education authorities and universities' self-construction,mainly including the measu res taken by education authorities in curriculum design,curriculum guidance,curricu lum supervision,curriculum positioning,teaching innovation,teacher construction,r esource integration,etc.How to further strengthen their own construction.
