| Teachers play essential roles in the implementation of the new curriculum reform,which aims to promote the all-round development of students.In this process,teachers' professionality is the guarantee of teaching quality.Geography is a comprehensive,region-focused and complex subject with abstract and dynamic geographic knowledge.Such disciplines have certain requirements for teachers' ability to apply geographic information technology to the teaching process.However,in reality,there are discrepancies of the ability to use geographic information technology in different groups due to various personal experiences,teaching environment,professional development,etc.On this basis,this study uses questionnaire surveys and interviews to understand the current status of geographic information technology literacy of high school geography teachers,analyzes their difficulties in using geographic information technology in the teaching process,and attempts to find approaches to improve teachers' geographic information technology literacy.(1)As a systematic review of the concepts related to geographic information technology literacy,this study defines the concept of high school geography teachers' geographic information technology literacy on the basis of the General Senior High School Geography Curriculum Standards,Elementary and Middle School Teachers' Educational Technology Competence Standards,pedagogical principles,teachers' professionality requirements and related contents.The meaning of geographic information technology literacy is defined as the ability to obtain geographic information through information technology,the ability to interpret geographic information,and the ability to apply geographic information technology to solve problems.Besides,the study also systematically explains the features and functions of geographic information technology literacy.(2)Using online questionnaire surveys and interviews,this study aims to understand the current status of high school geography teachers' geographic information technology literacy.With the help of SPSS,the collected survey data are analyzed to find out the impact of age,teaching experience,education,specialty,teaching environment and teaching attitude on teachers' geographic information technology literacy.The results provide references for improving teachers' geographic information technology literacy.Also,it analyzes the influencing factors of teachers' geographic information technology literacy and the bottleneck problems they face in the practical teaching process,and proposes targeted solutions.(3)By analyzing the weaknesses of high school geography teachers' geographic information technology literacy,it is proved that teachers have huge difficulties in applying geographic information technology to solve geographic problems.In addition,the teaching environment,training opportunities and forms,teaching resources and other aspects are also expected to be improved.Considering the results of questionnaire surveys,relevant standards,and documents,the author proposes targeted solutions to core problems and approaches to improve teachers' geographic information technology literacy.This study mainly adopts questionnaire surveys,teacher interviews,statistical analysis and other methods to clarify the concepts about teachers' geographic information technology literacy and analyze the current situation of high school teachers' geographic information technology literacy,with the purpose to provide theoretical support for the cultivation of high school geography teachers' geographic information technology literacy,and to improve teachers' professional quality and teaching quality. |
