With the development of the times,modern information technology has been widely used in various fields such as society and economy.It has also changed people's ways of thinking and living habits,and promoted the new development and progress of society.Due to the application of modern information technology,high school geography teaching is also undergoing in-depth reforms and advancing with the times.However,how to use modern information technology reasonably and fully in teaching to optimize the teaching process and enhance the teaching effect is still a the practical problem which need to be studied and solved in basic education.This is also the main reason why I chose this research topic.In the course of this research,through reviewing domestic and foreign references,we have reviewed the current domestic and foreign research status,and further understood the content,advantages and positive significance of the application of modern information technology,We also clarified this research's objectives and the direction of effort.Students and teachers were surveyed using WeChat group to understand the application of modern information technology in high school geography teaching,as well as the specific difficulties and obstacles in the application process.At the same time,the problems existing in the application of modern information technology in high school geography teaching are summarized.Through repeated teaching practice,effective ways,strategies and methods for solving these problems are explored.This is the focus,difficulty and innovation of this research.The main results of this research are all derived from the repeated practice of high school geography teaching.For each link of classroom teaching,we explored the teaching methods that are conducive to high school students' independent learning and effective learning,as well as the main types of modern information technology,the purpose of application.As a result,we accumulate some teaching examples with good teaching effects.These teaching examples are operable and reproducible,which provide reference teaching strategies and means for high-school geography teachers.They have good promotion value.The innovation of this paper is mainly to bring the advantages of different types of modern information technology into full play,to apply modern information technology to all aspects of high school geography teaching,to explore ways to promote the transformation of teaching methods,to stimulate students' interest in independent learning,and to improve learning efficiency.And the paper focus on exploring effective strategies for the development of students' core literacy.
