Opinions of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of the Examination Enrollment System for Candidates issued by the State Council in 2014 has proposed to rearrange the examination subject,and actively implement the new college entrance examination reform based on the local specific situation.The selected subjects of students in high school would affect the direction of future college entrance examination majors,meaning they actually have faced the choice of future career direction in high school.Therefore,it is very urgent to develop the career education for students in high school.At this stage,however,most career education in China can only be conducted at universities and vocational colleges,and without covering the secondary schools.Moreover,a systematic career education system has not been fully formed in the stage of compulsory education.On this basis,through the related textbook and students' situation analysis,the author designs and develops a career education resource package,and carefully studies its teaching effectiveness on those students.Through conducting a questionnaire survey on 130 students in the first grade of the middle school in Ordos City,the author specially analyzes the related career education development and students' attitudes.According to the related results,there are fewer career education lectures and practical activities held in schools,and relatively speaking,teachers are able to occasionally carry out career education related activities in the class.In general,the career education in the school does not have the optimistic situation.However,regarding the students' attitudes towards the development of career education,59.23% of them fully agree that they indeed need to receive the career planning guidance,66.92% of them also fully agree that it is necessary to carry out the career education and social practice activities in the high school.63.08% of students fully agree that teachers of each subject in high school should timely introduce the occupational contents,while 59.23% and 64.62% of students agree that biological teachers should integrate the career education into the specific teaching process,thus increasing their interests in biology-related occupations.Therefore,regarding the different attitudes,more than half of the students have showed the positive attitudes and supported the school to carry out various career education activities.To carry out the career education in the biology teaching more easily,the author specially designs a career education resource package to integrate in the biology teaching,and also discusses the corresponding design principles,design ideas,presentation methods,textbook contents and cases,as well as the implementation principles.In addition,it also applies the resource package in the biology teaching among the three classes of the first grade.Before and after a semester of using the resource package,the author also uses the questionnaires to clarify students' understanding of themselves and biology-related occupations.The results showed that the paired sample t test method can conclude the significant improvement in two dimensions after the experiment,mainly including students 'self-cognition and the understanding of related occupations.And the difference can be statistically significant(P<0.01),especially the career education resource package can achieve good results in the biology teaching process.The paper mainly obtains the following conclusions:(1)most career education in China still can be conducted at universities and vocational colleges currently,especially vocational colleges,but not covering in the secondary schools.(2)There are many entry points to integrate in the career education of biology textbooks,so the design scope of the education resource package can be very wide.(3)The use of career education resource package can effectively improve students' awareness of themselves and related occupations.
