The STEM is actually an kind of interdisciplinary education of science,technology,engineering and technology,whose important task is to to design an effective teaching model for meeting the requirements of the society.The development of the times and the pursuit of quality education has resulted in the rise and development of deeper learning theory.The keys of training 21 practical new talents and improving the educational quality of our nation are to guide the development of STEM teaching activities by applying deeper learning theory and to promote STEM education for realizing deeper learning.There are three questions that have been paid attention to: How to optimize and improve STEM education teaching mode with deeper learning theory;How is the STEM education teaching mode based on deeper learning theory,and how is the teaching effect of STEM teaching mode based on deeper learning theory.All these three questions are under the guidance of Design Research and action research,and the relevant research activities are carried out from the perspective of combining theory with practice.Based on the review of the related literature at home and abroad,the theoretical framework of deeper learning,the connotation of STEM education and the core elements of teaching model have been defined and determined.The effect of the teaching mode of STEM education based on deeper learning theory can be verified by carrying out practical teaching of STEM education in primary schools,whose actual teaching effects can be used to improve the teaching mode.Through combing and analyzing the existing literature,this paper forms the theoretical framework of deeper learning,which is composed of the core idea of deeper learning,the process model of deeper learning,the instructional design of deeper learning and the evaluation system of deeper learning,the elements of the teaching model are the theoretical basis,the learning goal,the learning environment,the learning content,the teaching activity and the learning evaluation.Taking deeper learning as the theoretical guidance,STEM education as the practical path,and instructional design theory as the analytical framework,this paper constructs a teaching model of STEM education based on deeper learning theory,which includes the goal of deep understanding of STEM knowledge,cultivating deep learning ability,interactive learning environment with rich space resources,designing multi-dimensional and integrated learning content,three stages and seven links of teaching activities,as well as a multi-evaluation system for promoting learning.On the basis of constructing the teaching model of STEM education based on deeper learning theory,the STEM teaching cases have been carried out in practical teaching to verify the feasibility and validity of the model.In this study,Solo theory was used to analyze the Mind Map of students' STEM learning.As a result,most of the students' cognitive level was verified to stay at the level of multi-point structure and association structure;After the analysis of paired samples test of pre-and post-test data,it shows that the students have made progress in improving in core knowledge,critical thinking and problem solving,learning to learn,learning beliefs,teamwork,communication and so on,it is found that students have better emotional experience in STEM learning process.This research constructs the STEM education teaching pattern based on the deeper learning theory has the certain feasibility and the validity.
