In today's science and technology under the background of rapid development,countries around the world pay extraordinary attention to for their country's science education courses,and in science education curriculum reform,hope that through the scientific curriculum reform to improve citizen's scientific literacy level,to make their own level of science and technology get a better development.Since Deng Xiaoping put forward "science and technology is the primary productive force" in 1988 and Jiang Zemin put forward the basic state policy of "rejuvenating the country through science and education" in 1995,China has attached more and more importance to the improvement of people's scientific literacy,because people's scientific literacy affects the overall national strength,and science and technology is expanding its influence on our daily life.Therefore,since the new curriculum reform in 2001 issued the "full-time compulsory education science(grade 3-6)curriculum standards(experimental draft)",China has successively introduced many policies to promote the development of science education in primary schools.However,the average level of science education in primary schools in China still lags behind that in developed countries.China released the latest revision of the science curriculum standards for compulsory primary education in 2017,in which teachers are encouraged to use inquiry-based teaching methods supplemented by other teaching methods.This paper adopts literature method,classroom observation method and interview method.Taking a primary school in C city as an example,through a large number of relevant literature,the characteristics of primary school science class in terms of basic curriculum concepts,curriculum design ideas,curriculum objectives and curriculum content were understood.And observe the elementary school science teachers in the teaching activities of inquiry teaching in group discussion from students,student grouping experiment,classroom evaluation mode for observation,according to the classroom observation data is analyzed,based on the interviews with teachers to learn more about primary science inquiry teaching method of the status quo,problems and questions of classroom observation.By sorting and analyzing the data obtained,we found the problems in the practical application of scientific inquiry teaching in primary schools,analyzed the causes of the problems,and put forward some Suggestions from teachers,schools,society and parents on the basis of previous studies: 1.Teachers:(1)teachers should make conscious efforts to improve their own scientific literacy(2)improve their teaching methods;2.Schools:(1)to strengthen the importance of science courses at the school level;(2)to employ enough science teachers;(3)to fully invest and reasonably allocate course resources;3.The society and parents(1)call on people to pay more attention to the cultivation of students' scientific literacy(2)parents to participate in students' extracurricular scientific activities.
