There are quantifiers in both Chinese and Cambodian,and the number of quantifiers they contain is different,and the methods of use are different.For Cambodian students who study Chinese,Chinese quantifiers are not only the knowledge they must master,but also the difficu lt point in their learning.At present,the domestic academic circles have not paid much attenti on to the study of Cambodian language,and the research on the comparison between Chinese and Cambodian quantifiers is still in the exploratory stage.The research object of this thesis is the students of Chinese School in Cambodia,taking students at Grade 3 to 6 in GangHua Sch ool as an Example.This paper mainly compares the Chinese and Cambodian quantifiers,anal yzes the errors and causes of Chinese quantifiers made by Chinese students in Cambodia,and puts forward some suggestions.Based on the theory of error analysis and cognitive linguistics,using error analysis and q uestionnaire survey as the research methods,this paper analyzes the similarities and differenc es of Chinese and Cambodian quantifiers in semantic features,grammatical features and prag matic features,and examines the use of Chinese quantifiers among Cambodian Chinese schoo l students.To classify and summarize the errors in the questionnaire,the main errors in the qu estionnaire are inter-lingual errors,intra-lingual errors and cognitive errors.The causes of erro rs are negative transfer of mother tongue,negative transfer of target language knowledge,neg ative transfer of cultural factors,and the influence of learning environment.Comparing their t extbook with the classifiers in the course syllabus,it is found that the textbook has some probl ems in the selection and explanation of the classifiers,thus,some suggestions are put forward for the revision of these problems.Finally,under the guidance of cognitive linguistics,the aut hor puts forward some suggestions to the students of Chinese school in Cambodia to learn Chi nese quantifiers.This study enriches the case of cross-language comparative study,deepens the study of C hinese and Cambodian quantifiers,and expands the study of errors in learning Chinese quantif iers by Cambodian students.Some pertinent suggestions have been put forward for the compil ation of Chinese language textbooks in Cambodia,as well as for teachers and students of Chin ese schools in Cambodia,hoping to help students acquire Chinese quantifiers better.
