Since the new curriculum reform,the concept of new curriculum standard has gradually penetrated into biology textbooks.As the carrier and teaching medium of curriculum content,textbook emphasizes inquiry learning and cultivation of biological science literacy.As one of the surface systems of teaching materials,the textbook Assignment systems plays an important role in guiding students' inquiry learning and cultivating their biological science literacy.In order to help the first-line biology teachers to make better use of our biology textbook textbook Assignment systems and understand its functions,and also to enrich the content and types of our junior high school biology textbook textbook Assignment systems,this paper takes four biology textbooks of our compulsory education and five textbooks of American scientific explorers as research objects,and makes a comparative study of their textbook Assignment systems.By using the methods of literature research,content analysis,comparative research and statistics,this paper makes a comparative study on the mainstream biology textbooks of junior high schools between China and the United States from the macro and micro levels.On the macro level,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the curriculum standards and the overall teaching materials,and grasps the trend of curriculum reform in the two countries as a whole.The curriculum standards of both countries pay attention to education equity and exploration practice.In China,biological standards are formulated according to disciplines,while in the United States,comprehensive scientific standards are adopted.The content construction of human education edition is based on the concept of “man and biosphere”,while the content construction of Science Explorer is based on the subject.At the micro level,this paper compares the five levels of textbook assignment type,emphasis of assignment content,assignment time arrangement,the proportion of assignment system in the surface system and the fusion degree of image system and text system in the surface system.The comparative study shows that the textbook Assignment systems of the two sets of textbooks in China and the United States account for a large proportion of the surface system,and they are well integrated with the image system and the text system.But compared with the fusion degree of image system,the fusion degree of textbook and text system in China is higher.By comparing the types of assignments,we find that there are many types of assignments in the human education edition,the column language is artistic,and we attach importance to the intersection with literature and art.The textbook assignment column of the textbook "scientific Explorer" is divided in detail and has high comprehensive function,focusing on the intersection with the content of science and engineering,the network resources of the textbook are more directional and popular,and the column of writing expression is emphasized.However,there are some deficiencies in the presentation of network resources column and scientific writing column.According to the standard of assignment function division,the assignment content of the American version of the textbook is more inclined to the consolidation of biological skills and the exchange of family emotions,while the assignment content of the Chinese textbook pays more attention to the preparation before class,and is guided by the examination,so as to strengthen students' interest in learning and improve students' participation in teaching activities.The comparative study found that the time arrangement of homework was more emphasis on classroom work in the textbooks of people's Education Edition and extra-curricular work in the textbooks of scientific explorer.The time arrangement of homework in the two sets of textbooks was unbalanced.In view of the shortcomings of the textbook Assignment system of biology textbook in China,the paper absorbs the excellent columns and design ideas in the textbook of scientific explorer,and combines with the concept of the new curriculum reform in China,and puts forward the following suggestions for the compilation of biology textbook in the future in China:(1)Improve the comprehensive function of the assignment columns in biology textbook;(2)Perfecting the setting of the network resources column in biology teaching materials;(3)Set up Scientific writing column;(4)Improve the participation of families in biology teaching materials;(5)Balance the assignment of homework time in biology teaching materials;(6)Improve the integration of image system and textbook Assignment system in teaching materials.
