As the main carrier of teaching content,teaching materials are an important resource to achieve teaching objectives.The 2011 Compulsory Education Physics Curriculum Standard requires teachers to fully develop teaching resources,excavate teaching materials,and cultivate students' core qualities.Therefore,it is necessary to do a good job in physics teaching,and to conduct a detailed and thorough analysis of physics teaching materials.The textbook consists of two parts: text and illustrations.The text part in the textbook has always been highly valued by scholars,and a series of related studies have been carried out.Relatively speaking,the research on the illustrations is not comprehensive and detailed enough.Illustration as the second language in the teaching material,compared with the large length of text,its expression is more intuitive and convenient,can attract the reader's attention,stimulate the reader's interest in reading,and it has rich knowledge connotation,but in the process of the actual physics teaching,teaching material illustrations have not been efficiently used.Given this status in teaching and the different functions of the illustrations,The author,through literature investigation,text analysis,questionnaire survey,case analysis and other methods,taking the junior high school physics textbooks for grade 8 and grade 9 as an example,Mainly for the education version of junior high school physics textbook in the classification statistics,And to Shuangyashan city a junior high school physics teachers and the second and third grade students about the use of textbook illustrations for investigation and research,The following conclusions are drawn from the investigation and analysis,First,for students: first,Most junior middle school students prefer reading the illustrations,Illustration can help to improve students' interest in learning;Second point,Junior high school students' knowledge of physical illustrations is mostly limited to the surface,Can not analyze in depth,can not combine the connection between pictures and pictures;Third point,Most junior high school students lack the ability to read the maps,Not enough attention to the content of the illustrations.Secondly,for teachers: first,teachers can realize the importance of the textbook illustration,but not enough attention;second,teachers tend to ignore the implied information of the illustrations in daily teaching,in order to guide students to dig deep;third,some teachers ignore the cultivation of students' ability to read and analyze pictures.In the application of the illustrations of the teaching materials,from the perspective of the teacher: first,use the illustrations as the link between physics and life;second,flexibly use the illustrations for illustration teaching;third,use the textbook illustrations to guide students to think;fourth,use the textbook illustrations to explain the text;fifth,conduct emotional education through the illustrations.Secondly,from the perspective of students: first,explain the physical process according to the illustration;second,illustrate through the text.In order to give full play to the educational function of the teaching material illustrations.
