Research On Wushu Culture In Shaolin Movies

Shaolin martial arts is an important part of Chinese martial arts.Thecharacteristic culture of the integration of Zen and martial arts makes it uniqueamong many martial arts schools.As a part of martial arts films,Shaolin filmsare based on the story of Shaolin temple or Shaolin children,showing Shaolinmartial arts,reflecting Shaolin culture,and interpreting the thoughts ofcompassion of Buddhism,the spirit of Confucianism and the spirit of martial arts.As a special media,it not only carries the heavy responsibility of martial artscommunication,but also interprets martial arts culture through stories andcharacters' words and deeds.Taking Shaolin martial arts as the core element ofShaolin movies,the presentation of its martial arts culture is an important factorto spread the cultural image of Shaolin martial arts.This study aims to providetheoretical basis for the future development of Shaolin films from theperspective of martial arts culture,so as to better inherit and promote thetraditional Chinese martial arts culture.Through literature,image analysis and logic analysis,this paper first definesthe concept of Shaolin film and combs the development process of Shaolin film;secondly,it summarizes the cultural background of Shaolin film-the integrationof Shaolin Zen and martial arts culture;it focuses on the display of martial artsequipment,martial arts movements,the embodiment of martial arts rules andregulations as well as Shaolin Xia This paper studies the interpretation of thespirit of righteousness,and then analyzes the influence of martial arts culture onthe presentation of martial arts culture in Shaolin movies,and draws thefollowing conclusions:(1)In Shaolin movies,sticks are used as an important representative of theimage of Shaolin martial arts and monks,and the choice of martial artsequipment is becoming more and more diversified.Secondly,the use of Shaolin'sunique weapons and living non-conventional weapons,especially for living Theconstant excavation and use of unconventional weapons not only expands theexisting equipment of martial arts,but also enriches the artistic content of moviemartial art action scenes.(2)In Shaolin films,through the presentation of martial arts movements,itreflects the characteristics of martial arts,and thus reflects the integration ofChinese traditional culture and Zen thoughts with martial arts movements.(3)In Shaolin films,the rules and regulations of Shaolin's martial arts areembodied in the aspects of martial etiquette,system,ideology and behavior ofShaolin monks,and the "martial" culture of Shaolin is transmitted.(4)The chivalrous spirit of Shaolin in Shaolin movies is the combination ofthe chivalry spirit and the Buddhist spirit.It is the combination of the BuddhistCompassion,the thought of universal living beings,the traditional chivalrythought and the Confucian family thought,which embodies the integration ofChinese Confucian culture and Buddhist culture.It is a big idea.
