Study On The Participation Motivation And Limiting Factors Of Bicycle Tourists In Shanghai

With the rapid operation of industrialization and urbanization,many disadvantages have been exposed in China's urban development.In order to promote the benign operation of cities,the concept of green development has emerged.The development of urban green economy and the promotion of urban sustainable development have become one of the main themes of contemporary urban development.Green travel and green tourism,mainly based on bicycles,play an important role in this process.As a special way of sports tourism,bicycle tourism through the integration of cycling sport and tourism activities,also for the tourists brought higher engagement and experience,to some extent to meet the national in the process of rapid economic growth of diversification and individuation of demand,the participation is increasing in recent years,by the citizens of all ages.At the same time,the government has introduced various policies in the aspects of facilities construction,road improvement and event management,which have provided an important guarantee for the development of bicycle tourism.In the context of the rapid development of bicycle tourism,understanding the characteristics and needs of bicycle tourists will be conducive to the development of bicycle tourism.Tourist motivation is the direct cause to promote tourism activities have been conducted,the limiting factor is prevents people travel related factors,research on motivation and restriction is help to improve the national awareness of bicycle tourism,also will further deepen the understanding of this group,government and market so as to help improve bike travel environment,building green ecological tourism city.In this study,the characteristics,motivations and limitations of bicycle tourists in Shanghai were studied and analyzed by means of literature,interview,questionnaire and mathematical statistics.The research conclusions are as follows:1.The demographic characteristics of bicycle tourists in Shanghai are as follows: men are the main participants in terms of gender,young people and middle and young people are the main participants in terms of age,with higher educational level,diversified career structure and good income status.Among them,gender,age,education background and monthly income have significant influence on the participation motivation of bicycle tourists.2.The participation motivation of bicycle tourists in Shanghai is divided into six categories: knowledge motivation,social motivation,ability motivation,escape motivation,sports motivation and cultural sports.Based on the motivation,bicycle tourists in Shanghai can be divided into three types: enthusiastic participation type,sports relaxation type and relaxed experience type.Among them,the most enthusiastic participants scored the highest on all motives.The number of sports relaxation type is the next;In terms of sports motivation,the number of people with calm experience type was the least,and all the motivation scores were the lowest.3.The main restrictions of bicycle tourists in the city come from the external structural factors.The enthusiastic tourists and the relaxed tourists are most affected by the structural factors,but least affected by their own restrictions.Relaxed experience tourists are most affected by interpersonal constraints and least affected by structural constraints.The differences between the three types of tourists are the most obvious in terms of structural restrictions,but not so obvious in terms of their own restrictions.4.There is a correlation between the motives of Shanghai bicycle tourists and restrictions.For enthusiastic participating tourists,ability motivation and self-limitation are positively correlated,structural restriction is positively correlated with escape motivation and movement motivation,and negatively correlated with social motivation.For sports relaxed tourists,there is a positive correlation between escape motivation and structural restriction.For general experiential tourists,there is a positive correlation between social motivation and structural restriction,ability motivation and interpersonal restriction.Based on the research results,this study puts forward three targeted Suggestions to better promote the development of bicycle tourism.2)improve basic services and create a cycling environment;3)strengthen customer segmentation and develop accurate marketing.
