Analysis On Current Research Situation Of Sports Event Group Based On Content Analysis

With the development of China's economy and the continuous expansion of city's scale,the ability of cities to hold events has been gradually increased,and the motivation of cities to show their city image through sports events has also been enhanced.With the increasing demand for events,the events held in cities are no longer a single event,but a group of events.As the mutual influence between the events continues to expand,the events appeared in the phenomenon of clustering or gathering in a certain area.The sum of the events gathered in the urban space,their overall influence and the relationship of mutual competition,exclusion and mutual promotion generated by the agglomeration cannot be regarded as a bunch of unrelated events,but must be treated as a group of interrelated events.The analysis of the current situation of the sports event group can be a complement of the theoretical research,and has great practical significance for the government and the event managers to strengthen the management and planning of the events of cities.The sports event group is an effective way to ensure the healthy and sustainable development,the reasonable structure of sports event,and allocate the event resources,and promote the event to better serve the urban economy and social development.Certain achievements have been made in the study of the sports event group.However,since 2013 when scholars carried out relevant research,the theoretical study of the sports event group has stagnated,and the urban sports event group has developed rapidly.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct the study of the sports event group.This study is of great significance to the event managers and the government,can provide them with a view of taking many sports events as a whole,strengthen the planning and management of urban events,and rationally allocate resources and technology can improve the competitiveness of cities.At the same time,for the follow-up researchers,it has practical significance.The research results of this article can provide ideas for them to carry out follow-up research and better promote the development of the field.By using of literature research,content analysis method,mathematical statistics method,case analysis method and comparative analysis,this paper discusses the following contents: first,analysis on current research situation of the sports event group,to find out current research,what issues have solved and unresolved or still remain controversial in research subject,research methods,research topics of sports event group;second,research on current situation,both theoretical and empirical,of characteristics and structure of the sports event group;third,makes a comparative analysis with the sports event group in Shanghai area A,to compare the commonness and gaps between the theoretical research and empirical research of the current situation.The carding and analysis of the current research situation of the sports event group can provide reference for the further study of the sports event group.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:For the current research situation of the sports event group,the theoretical research is still at the basic stage,which involves less content,but some research results have been achieved.By analyzing the content of the themes of the literatures of sports event group,it is found that current research area is mainly for the development status of the sports event group,the formation mechanism of the sports event group,the construction of the sports event group,the management of the sports event group,the theory and the value of the sports event group.Among them,scholars pay more attention on the development status of the sports event group,followed by the formation mechanism and construction of the sports event group,less attention has paid is the theory and the value creation of sports event group.For the research on characteristics of sports event group,research has made certain achievements.The empirical study results show that economic characteristics of promoting the development of other supporting industries are reflected in the actual sports event group;however,the characteristics of generating economies of scale and the path-dependent characteristics of the Matthew effect cannot be reflected.The characteristics of externality and publicity in the theoretical research are reflected in the sports event group in Shanghai area A.Different from the external and public characteristics of individual events,the characteristics of the sports event group are broader,deeper and more obvious.For the research on the constituent elements of the structure of the sports event group,scholars have paid little attention.Apart from a few articles mentioned the study of the constituent elements of the structure,the overall research of the sports event group is less.The empirical study results have found that the scale structure and variety structure in the theoretical research has certain but not fully reflected in the actual sports event group;research results in event level,sports category and event venue have echoed the theoretical research;the theoretical study of the content of the structure of event time distribution while existing in the actual sports event group has not been covered yet,requiring more attention from theoretical researchers.Research prospects: later follow-up researchers can conduct in-depth analysis on the current research situation of the sports event group,such as the study on the concept,the theory of the sports event group,and the improvement on the formation mechanism,and so on.More empirical studies can also be carried out to guide the development of theoretical research from the perspective of considering the current development status of the actual sports event groups,and the problems encountered.The development of the sports event group goes through different stages,on the basis of present researches scholars can also consider the key issues that should be solved in this stage,such as characteristics and structure.At present,there are few research results,so it is hoped that scholars can pay more attention to the research on the sports event group at home and abroad,and carry out a deeper study to make a clear analysis on the current situation,so as to draw a more thorough and instructive conclusion.
