Shouldering the heavy responsibility of implementing quality education and promoting the reform and development of basic education,primary school teachers has vital impact on effective improvement of education quality.The sharp transformation in the society spurs multiple reforms in education.Hence,the quality of teachers and education is attached increasing significance by nation and society.Confronting the movement of teacher's role,primary school teachers ought to realized the fact that the outlook of “lifelong job” as a teacher has been overthrown forever.Instead,they must comprehend the career management profoundly as well as the reflection ability in the job market under such a competitive society.In the past,more attention was allocated to students management and guidance of career to the students from primary school teachers whose career management themselves was under severe negligence.The mission of primary school teacher should be the sublimation of self-esteem and eternity of self-value during the process of enlightenment to others rather than “self-sacrifice in lightening others”.Therefore,the career management and students management should weigh the same for primary school teachers.To achieve the sound integration of self-value and social value in this highly competitive society,primary school teachers should not only lay stress on the development of their professional career management,but also coordinate with the career development management from schools and institutions and seize the opportunities provided by them.The research data,mainly collected through questionnaire,facilitate the following studies:the analysis of the current situation of career management ability of primary school teachers and the support from schools from F City in Fujian based on descriptive statistics;analysis of variance of career management ability of primary school teachers from different background;correlation analysis and regression analysis of the relevance between school support and career management ability of primary school teachers followed by discussion on the correlation and exploration of major factors that influence the ability of career management and ability in related dimensions.The research foundthat : first,the general level of primary school teachers' career management ability is low;second,there are differences in the career management of primary school teachers and the gender difference in this field is demonstrated by a better performance from male than female;third,the “career exploration” of primary school teachers illustrates no discrepancy in demographic variables;fourth,the school support presents positive correlation with the primary school teachers' ability in different dimensions of career management;fifth,all dimensions of school support could achieve forward prediction on the primary school teachers' career management ability.To a certain extent,this thesis proves the effectiveness of school support for the improvement of primary school teachers' career management ability,and provides a reference for the national research to develop standards on teachers' professional ability.
