With the development of the core accomplishment,the core accomplishment of each discipline is gradually formed.In 2011,China's ministry of education issued mathematics curriculum standards for compulsory education,which revised "sense of symbol" into "sense of symbol" and listed it as one of the ten core concepts of mathematics in compulsory education stage.With the gradual development of core literacy,the ten core words in the compulsory education stage are identified as the ten core literacy.Since then,more and more scholars pay more attention to its development.As one of the core words,"symbolic awareness" is worth studying.How teachers and students implement this quality and how the status quo is.Based on piaget's cognitive development theory and classification theory as the foundation,through the questionnaire investigation of shijiazhuang two school sixth grade students and 57 elementary school teachers' questionnaire investigation,and combined with the interview method to interview three teachers understand students problem solving thinking,through the students' feedback questionnaire,finding problems,analyzing reasons,conclusion,and targeted advice is given,finally provide appropriate teaching design.The following conclusions can be drawn from the survey results and analysis:(1)the development level of mathematical symbolic consciousness of grade 6 students is in the order of mathematical symbolic perception,mathematical symbolic operation,mathematical symbolic reasoning,and mathematical symbolic expression.(2)for the level of mathematical symbol perception,students' perception of symbols is in a shallow level without involving the understanding of essence.(3)for the operation level of mathematical symbols,it is found that some students are weak in operation ability.(4)for the reasoning level of mathematical symbols,students are still insufficient in reasoning.(5)for the expression level of mathematical symbols,it is difficult for students to use mathematical symbols to represent the discovered rules.(6)there is no significant difference between students from different schools and students from the same school in gender awareness literacy of mathematical symbols.(7)teachers pay less attention to "symbol awareness" than to core quality.Based on the above conclusions,the author mainly gives the following Suggestions from the aspects of teachers and students :(1)combining with the actual life to understand the nature of symbols.(2)use symbols flexibly to improve students' ability.(3)attach importance to symbolic reasoning and broaden students' thinking.(4)deepen the cognition of signs and strengthen the expression of signs.(5)change teaching methods and improve teachers' quality.Students :(1)pay attention to mathematical symbols,solid computing ability.(2)self-built wrong notes,pay attention to the accumulation over time.(3)strengthen the awareness of norms and build a symbol system.
