Subject curriculum plays great role in the realization of "key competencies" education in the new teaching reform of China.It demands higher requirements for the senior high school students to learn well since both the chemical knowledge quantity and the requirement in logical reasoning ability are increased.Many factors,including the senior high school girls' social cognition,learning situation,family and school condition can affect the students' learning,especially in their cultivation of chemistry discipline key competencies.Therefore,it is of great significance to clarify the related concepts,investigate the level as well as study the influencing factors of high school girls' key competencies in chemistry,and put forward teaching suggestions.In this paper,literature analysis was applied to collect,sort out and analyze the related concepts of chemistry discipline key competencies as well as the research status at home and abroad;questionnaire survey was used to investigate the current situation of the key competencies in chemistry of senior high school students in Hubei Province,and the data was processed by SPSS 22.The differences between boys and girls in the 5 dimensions of chemistry discipline key competencies are studied;analysis was conducted to clear the main influencing factors of high school girls' key competencies;interviews were used to confirm the main influencing factors of high school girls' key competencies in chemistry.Literature analysis shows that most research are applied on the definition,connotation,teaching design and teaching strategy,classroom evaluation and academic examination of the key competencies in chemistry,while the systematic research on chemistry key competencies is still in the initial stage;the research on senior high school girls mainly focuses on the characteristics of girls and solving their learning in mathematics and physics,while less research has been put on chemistry learning,especially on senior high school girls' chemistry discipline key competencies.The results of questionnaire survey show that: the overall level of chemistry discipline key competencies of senior high school students in Hubei Province is better,among which boys are better than girls in five dimensions,and girls' lowest score is the "evidence reasoning and model cognition" dimension;the main influencing factor of the key competencies in chemistry of senior high school girls is chemistry learning,and family economic status is also the main influencing factor,followed by school,gender,teachers,experiments and students' academic performance.The interviews show that the main influencing factors of high school girls' key competencies in chemistry are chemistry learning and family basic situation.The other factors,including the characteristics of high school girls,the school and teachers can all have impacts.According to the factors that affect key competencies of high school girls' chemistry subject,we put forward some teaching suggestions as follows: strengthen the concept of family education,establish girls' self-confidence;improve the experimental condition in school and implement the link of experiment and inquiry;high school chemistry teachers should improve their own accomplishment,enrich their teaching skills,pay attention to "teaching according to students' genders " in the teaching process;establish the four in one "macro,micro,tally and number" strategy to improve the girl's ability in evidence reasoning and model cognition.
