In the tide of China's curriculum reform,the standard of senior high school chemistry curriculum(2017 edition)proposes to further improve the comprehensive quality of students,focusing on the development of Key Competencies of chemistry disciplines,so that students have key abilities and essential qualities,and gradually form correct values.In order to implement the reforms,teachers need to change their teaching methods.The "5E Learning Circle" teaching model is an inquiry-based teaching model,which is highly compatible with the inquiry-based teaching advocated by the reform.The "5E Learning Circle" teaching model was proposed by American science education expert Bybee in 1989.It consists of five closely linked and interlocking parts,namely: Engage,Explore,Explore,Explain,Elaborate,and Evaluate.Its essence lies in “Explore” part,and exploration is also inquiry,which can enhance students' understanding of scientific inquiry,improve students' experimental inquiry ability,and develop students' scientific inquiry ability.These five parts complement each other,which can not only promote the transformation of students' learning methods,but also enable students to learn more deeply,so as to develop students' Key Competencies in chemistry.This article applies the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model to senior high school chemistry teaching,and mainly discusses the application of this teaching model in senior high school chemistry teaching to develop students' core literacy in chemistry.Under the guidance of the general senior high school chemistry curriculum standard(2017 edition),the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model will give full play to its advantages and optimizeclassroom teaching.It will also be of significance to front-line teachers to implement reforms.The research contents of this article are as follows:(1)The literature analysis method is used to study the Learning Circle model and the "5E Learning Circle " teaching model.It sorts out the research status of the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model at home and abroad,and clarifies the research content and research ideas of this paper,and the concept of "5E Learning Circle " teaching model is defined.(2)This article focuses on the main points of each part of the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model,and analyzes how to use the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model to cultivate the Key Competencies of chemistry discipline.(3)Through the practice teaching method,two classes with similar grades were selected for teaching practice.Comparing the pre-test and post-test score of the students,and analyzing the questionnaires and evaluation forms to summarize the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model's implementation results,suggestions and the shortcomings in the research process.Practice has proved that the use of the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model can promote the comprehensive quality of students.(1)Experimental class students' performance and enthusiasm for chemistry learning have improved significantly.(2)Students have improved their abilities in autonomous and cooperative learning,language expression,knowledge building and scientific inquiry.(3)From the students' test scores and questionnaires,it can be seen that this model can subtly develop the Key Competencies of chemistry discipline.The use of the "5E Learning Circle" teaching model in the senior high school chemistry classroom promotes the improvement of students' abilities in all aspects and has a positive significance for developing students' Key Competencies of chemistry discipline.
