Picture book is a new teaching resource,which has been popular in recent years.Picture book,which combines pictures and words,attracts the students’ attention and is very popular with students.Specifically,the text language in picture books can attract students’ attention,and stories written in these languages can help students form better listening habits and lay a solid foundation for language development.Domestic picture book teaching has just been on the rise and is still exploring.Many teachers use picture books in reading and writing class to improve students’ reading ability and writing ability.However,the picture book can not only improve the students’ reading and writing,but also help the development of their language.In the teaching of picture books,the students’ ability of expressing oral expression is often neglected.At present,the teaching system of picture book is not perfect enough.There are still some problems in improving students’ oral English.How to use picture books to improve students’ oral expression ability is a problem that needs attention nowadays.As an important supplementary form of Chinese language resources,picture books give full play to the unique value of picture books in the teaching of picture books in elementary schools,and cultivate and improve students’ oral expression ability.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the basis for establishing the topic.It mainly introduces the questions,the purpose and significance of the picture book research,and the current research situation at home and abroad about picture book.The second chapter is the meaning of picture book to students’ oral expression ability.The third chapter is the survey of picture book teaching in elementary school,and analyzes and discusses the current teaching situation of picture books and the problems existing in students’ oral expression ability,and makes some attribution analysis.The fourth chapter,taking the foregoing part,introduces the teaching strategy of picture book teaching to improve students’ oral expression ability.Teachers provide different ways to guide students to learn picture book in teaching classroom,so as to improve their oral expression ability.
