The construction of "double first-class”is an important strategy to realize the national economic and social development.Its core task is to cultivate high-quality innovative talents and assiduous academic talents,so as to improve the international competitiveness and discourse power of China's higher education.The academic postgraduate is not only an important part of talent training,but also the reserve force of scientific research,and also the mainstay of national economic and social development.Therefore,it is of far-reaching significance to improve the scientific research performance of academic postgraduateThis paper summarizes the domestic and foreign literature,and uses the theory of work performance,student engagement and social cognitive.Moreover,the method of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis is comprehensively used.The research object is the academic postgraduate of four "double first-class" universities in ShanghaiOn the basis of the former mature scale and the actual situation of research development of academic graduate students,we build an index evaluation system of research performance,individual,tutor and organizational factors.And in the form of Likert five-point scale,a questionnaire was compiled and investigated.After collecting 458 valid questionnaires,SPSS 23.0 software is used to analyze data,including exploratory factor analysis,regression analysis,descriptive statistical analysis,one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis.Meanwhile,we interviewed 29 academic graduate studentsAccording to the quantitative and qualitative analysis,this paper draws the following key conclusionsAs for research performance development status,the academic graduate students in "double first-class" universities show a high degree of willingness and enthusiasm in participating in scientific research activities.And they participate in project research and domestic academic conferences frequently.But the quality of scientific research results still needs to be optimized.There are some problems,such as low participation in academic conferences,fewer published papers,low-level journals and so on.Besides,there are significant differences in scientific research performance among academic graduate students of different grades and disciplines.But there is no statistical difference among students of different genders and universitiesIn the aspect of influencing factors,the research performance of academic graduate students is influenced by themselves,tutors and organizations,which is the result of multiple factorsFirstly,the individual factors such as research ability,research interest,and goal orientation are the core factors of research performance.Among them,research interest is the most remarkable factor,followed by research ability and goal orientation Students with strong research interest,solid research ability and positive goal orientation can achieve higher achievementsSecondly,the tutor factor is the driving force of postgraduate research performance Tutors'academic ability and guidance quality have a positive impact on students'research performance,but the effect of the latter is more important.Tutors with outstanding academic ability can undertake high-quality scientific research projects,so they can build a broader academic development platform for students.However,tutor guidance is the process of academic ability output,and the frequency and quality of output are the more essential factorsFinally,organizational factors have little direct impact on the research performance of academic graduate students,but the academic atmosphere and research resources will have a civilizing influence on them.Compared with academic atmosphere,the effect of scientific research resources is more vital.If excellent talents have high-quality resources,their scientific research results will be transformed faster In other words,academic resources provide the necessary material foundation for the development of students' scientific researchBased on the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward some targeted suggestions from students,tutors,universities and government departments.By taking these measures,we hope to play a multi-faceted role in promoting the scientific research performance of academic postgraduatesIn conclusion,this paper develops an index evaluation system of scientific research performance and its influencing factors,and establishes an empirical model,including three aspects of individual,mentor and organization.This will help broaden the research ideas of scientific research performance and enrich the existing research content.However,the development of scientific research is a dynamic and complex process,so the selected indicators cannot fully cover all aspects that affect the performance of scientific research.In addition,the samples fail to cover tutors and universities.Therefore,the universality and applicability of the research conclusions need to be further verified.
