Under the background of "double first-class" construction,there is relatively little research on the discipline construction of non-"double first-class" universities.However,in fact,non-"double first-class" universities are an important part of the universities in China,and it is very necessary and meaningful to improve the level of discipline construction of such universities.The key to improving the discipline construction level of non-"double first-class" universities is to find the main factors affecting the discipline construction level of non-"double first-class" universities.Through a thorough analysis of the existing literature,the factors affecting the level of discipline construction are mainly included in the discipline resources,discipline organizational culture,discipline ecosystem and discipline development environment.These four categories of influencing factors interact and jointly influence the discipline construction level of non-"double first-class" universities.At present,the research on the influence factors of non-"double first-class" university discipline construction level is mainly using the case study method and quantitative research methods.However,in fact,both methods ignore that the occurrence of many phenomena is the result of the interaction between factors,that is,the discipline construction level of non-"double first-class" universities is the result of the interaction between influencing factors.Due to the different specific situations,there are various discipline construction paths and modes of non-"double first-class" college disciplines.Therefore,it is of very important significance to explore the different conditional combination structure of the discipline construction level of non-"double first-class" universities.This paper selects crisp-set qualitative comparative analysis(cs-QCA),taking case samples of 34 non-"double first-class" college disciplines to explore the relationship between discipline funding level,high-level talent level,discipline reputation level,discipline legend,discipline organization level and regional development level.Specifically,this research focuses on how various factors affecting the discipline construction level can be matched to achieve the result that non-double first-class "first-class" college disciplines can achieve a high discipline construction level.According to the qualitative comparative analysis,no influencing factor is necessary for high discipline construction level,but high talent level,high discipline legends and discipline organization,the high-level of regional development,high reputation level and different influence factors can improve the non-double first-class discipline construction level to different degrees.In addition,there are five development models for high-level discipline construction,namely: legendary leading,characteristic development,traditional advantages,talent driven and regional driven.Based on the results of qualitative comparative analysis,make suggestions for non-double first-class universities,reasonably construct the education and management system of high-level talents,strengthen discipline group management consciousness,rational allocation of fund resources,expand funding channels,explore legendary stories,and develop regional advantages,and focus on the discipline reputation.
